Product Information

Originally founded as Tula Cartridge Works in 1880, TULAMMO is the leading Russian ammunition factory and currently produces ammunition for North, Central and South America, as well as Australia and several countries in the Middle East.

Used for shooting in bolt action and semi-automatic rifles and carbines, this ammunition has been tested to perform in extreme weather conditions. The projectile features a bimetal bullet jacket with lead core and it's loaded with a spherical powder. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive in boxer primed steel cases.

I have shot 100's of this stuff through both my AR's (DPMS, Stag) Not one problem. But my friend has trouble with it. Seems to be the guns Best bet is to buy one box and try it. Make sure you don't see marks from the extractor. Good for plinking please don't buy expecting match quality.

I have shot several hundred rounds with 2 AR15's. My S&W M&P15 eats this stuff like candy all day long for plinking at the range. Standing up with a 2X red dot scope I pick off head shots at 50 yards on paper human silhouette targets. But, out of my 20" custom built A2 rifle I get short strokes about 2 to 3 times out of every 20 rounds. Just gotta be careful and test a box or two with your particular rifle to so how it works. Cheap target ammo it is, match quality it's not.......

I've run a few hundred ...

I've run a few hundred rounds through a new Mini 14 without a hitch... no misfires, no FTE's. I did notice that it seemed to throw the ejected ammo further than it did some Remington brass that I also used. Other than that, I could see no difference. I'll buy again for range use.

I bought 3 boxes of this ...

I bought 3 boxes of this for a reliability test of my Core 15 M4. Yes, it is reliable, but when I jack the round to unload it, there are streaks in the polymer coating, I would hate to know that was also happening in my chamber. The copper part of the Bi-metal jacket is so thin I can scratch it off with my fingernails. I bought this as a cheap alternative but, sometimes I guess less is still less. I will not be buying again.

This ammo may be great ...

This ammo may be great for a semi auto gun, but definately DO NOT use in a Remington 700. Shot 10 rounds fine, 11th round expanded and got stuck in the chamber. Broke the extractor when I finally got the bolt open! I will stick with brass shells from now on.

I have shot several hundred rounds of this ammo through my DPMS upper, they all 100% worked well. This was all at the range, so 1sec between firing and the 5-10 min break every 15 mins or so probably allowed the gun to cool relatively well. I have been told that steel cases ammo like this can fail to eject and get stuck in the chamber. But I'm assuming that's at high rates of fire. And not allowing it to cool. All in all good for plinking.

Not bad ammo. Cant really rate it due to problems with the rifle. When the rifle did work it chugged out the rounds fine. Would buy again and will when I get the bugs worked out of the gun.

Personally, I'd stay away ...

Personally, I'd stay away from this ammo. I'm not even 1/3rd of the way through this case and I've had more FTE's (Failure to ejects) than any other ammo I've ever shot. I've experienced this in two different AR-15's (M&P 15 and a EA lower w/ DPMS 16" Bull barrel upper). The main issues seems to be with the casing being too brittle and part of it is broken by the extractor. I've never had this issue with any ammo let alone in two different rifles.

Purchased because of low ...

Purchased because of low price. Ammo will chamber in my Mini 14, but FTE, jammed the bolt closed. In my Daniel Defense V5 FTF. I believe the coating on the steel case is the problem. Guns are new with 100-200 rounds through them-brass case ammo. This ammo may work with older guns with lots of rounds through them, but I am stuck with boxes of steel case ammo that I will need to remove the coating before I can use it. Buy one box and try it, for me it's a huge headache now.
