This ammo is a great alternative to higher priced large game loads. This round packs a punch and for the most part has great accuracy. I have fired over 1k of tulammo FMJ,HP and this 154 SP combined. I can feed this flawlessly through both of my m59 and m59/66 SKS. I have never had a Failure to feed out of the 10rnd box mag and have had maybe 3 with 30rnd pmags. I have had 3 failure to fire due to bad primer out of around 1200 fired rounds. I prefer Tulammo to the other budget russian bulk brands in my experience it has been cleaner.

Very accurate and inexpensive hunting / self defense round out to 125 yds in my Ruger Mini 30. Installed the heavier Wolff Hammer and recoil Springs by suggestion and I have not had a single failure to fire or feed.

I upgraded my firing pin ...

I upgraded my firing pin for Mini 30 and have no failures firing the Russian Ammo. Firing pins are available at Midway. I also figure that Mini 14 might also have trouble shooting Russian ammo......I think the same firing pin is used in Mini 30 and Mini 14. Mini 30 with new firing pin works absolutely wonderful. It is now a pleasure to shoot this inexpensive ammo! 154 grain is a good deer round....inexpensive and effective.

I have had 100% ...

I have had 100% reliability firing this round from my Chinese SKS paratrooper carbine with 16" barrel. About 300 rounds through it so far. The recoil has a nice push to it, compared to regular 124gr, and it makes a deeper cracking sound. Fun to shoot junior 308. Shot offhand with iron sights at 50 yards and accuracy was not an issue hitting 8" shoot n see targets.

You need a heavier firing pin in a Mini 30 to fire Rusian ammo. Midway has it item #184368

If you have an AK47, ...

If you have an AK47, these rounds should feed and function perfectly in it, as they were designed for the AK47 platform by a Russian company. I shot about 60 of these through my Century Arms WASR 10 the other day, and they ALL worked flawlessly, without a single jam or misfeed. This is the best buy out there for 7.62x39 ammo. You can find cheaper ammo out there, but most of it is corrosive. You get what you pay for...

I bought 100 rounds some time ago. This stuff works great in my Arsenal SGL-21 with acceptable accuracy at 100-150 yards. I didn't have a single failure to fire or failure to feed. It isn't pretty but it is a functional, potentially useful, inexpensive hunting round. Sorry to hear the guy with the Mini 30 had issues.

I bought 100 rounds of this to try in a Mini 30 to be used as an all purpose "ranch rifle". The Mini 14 and Mini 30 are known to have weak firing pin strikes and not like com-bloc ammo, but I had to give this a try because of the price. Out of the first 20, only 2 fired. The other 18 had a big dents in the primer, more than what SHOULD be required to have positive ignition. They may work in your AK-47 or SKS, but don't waste your money feedin' em to a Ruger. I'd give em negative stars if that were possible.
