Bold Triggers are the ideal choice for performance and value, they are precision machined, feature a hardened and polished sear, and include a high alloy CNC machined trigger. The Premium requires the use of a bolt shroud safety and comes pre-set at 3 lbs but is adjustable from 2 to 4 lbs. This trigger features an adjustable sear engagement screw and overtravel stop screw. Fits Mauser 98, Husquvarna, Brno, Yugo, Commercial, Military, Mexican, Brazilian, and Spanish 93and 95 Mausers. Require fitting and installation by a qualified gunsmith.

I purchased this trigger ...

I purchased this trigger to replace the mil 2 stage trigger on my large ring Mauser .280 Rem. This trigger fit without any modification into my Butler creek synthetic. stock, and my new Boyd's thumbhole Sporter (Like it a lot). I was able to adjust it down to an 8 oz pull. Too light for me, but nice to know I could. I left mine at about 2 lbs. Adjustment is easy for pull, just turn top screw. Creep and over travel was basically non-existent. Installation is VERY easy. Just pop out old pin and remove spring. Lay new trigger into position. Replace pin. Then tighten Allen set screw to lock in. No sweat, job done, let's shoot! My trigger was of all metal construction. I called Boyd's Gun stock who either makes or is a big distributor of these triggers to ask them about plastic parts. They told me they have never and will never use plastic in them.My Mauser 98 is a Czech. Love the trigger.

Product has clean crisp release. Easily adjustable. However, it does NOT fit the older style German mausers. I have a 1916 mauser. Apparantly they have a slightly shorter trigger guard and the trigger...Read complete review

I have installed these triggers on 14 custom Mauser I have built. I leave the military guns as is as that is what I expect from a military rifle, a military trigger. The triggers I have mounted on my custom guns are flawless. I have had zero problems with them, I use them as they come out of the package and they help my rifles produce fine groups and clean one shot kills in the field. They are mounted on everything from a 300 savage through 458 Winchester Magnum and they keep on working. If you want a top quality trigger, easy installation and to improve your shooting experience, buy one.

This also is an excellent trigger, no creep at all. Installation in a military stock requires more dremeling than the Dayton-Traister trigger does, which should be obvious when comparing the profile of both. No metal removal was required on my VZ24 Mauser. I left the factory settings as they were, about 3 pounds pull

Pull feels great, but ...

Pull feels great, but much work was required with VZ-24 and M38 Swede. As someone else said the trigger finger pad (trigger) breaks off easily and is cast, not forged. Additionally, the slot for the trigger in the trigger guard of both rifles needed to be opened up and made longer because the trigger touched the rear and scraped the sides. This could be fixed with a thinner forged trigger and not curbing it backwards so much. If the safety won't move after action screws are tight the bottom of the trigger housing is probably against the trigger guard, the bottom safety rivet may be in the way and you may need to grind the trigger guard trigger slot lip.

Made a Mauser 96 from a ...

Made a Mauser 96 from a closet gun to a gun that shoots a half inch group with a trigger and bedding the action. This trigger is not plastic! Takes reading the directions. Have to have a small punch and a small Allen wrench. The first time through I didn't read the directions and had a few problems also the trigger guard hit the trigger and I had to grind a little metal away. It shoots great and it is probably my deer gun after I get a decent scope on it. I am buying another one for a Mauser 98. It takes a lot less time to read this than it took to install the trigger.

I caught this trigger on sale and regret now not buying it years ago even at retail price. I had absolutly no problems installing it in a rebarreled and Restocked Brno VZ 24. I left it set as is, and enjoy every trip to the range. Great product and I highly recommend it to replace the old two stage Mauser trigger.

I have a sporter Mauser 98 with synthentic stock and this trigger dropped right into the gun and functioned properly. The only thing I had to modify was the plastic trigger guard in my stock, which was not wide enough to fit the serrated trigger. With a little filing and it fit, overall a good product. A lot better than the military trigger I had on this gun.
