Bought for use in a spacegun for highpower, they appeared in the photo to be cut down USGI 30 rounders. The follower is really cheesy, tips fore and aft easily. Loading magazine for the first time, was pressing in the seventh round and the magazine burst at the seam on the back rib! I'll stick with USGI.

Tried 4 of these magazine ...

Tried 4 of these magazine in RR & DPMS AR's. All 4 failed to feed last round. Mouth of last round hits mag lip and bullet gets pushed back into case. Powder all over in chamber.Lost several points in HP match because of these mags. My mistake was that I assumed they would work OK in my new space gun. I machined the mag lips, and now they feed fine.

Ordered one for my ...

Ordered one for my Olympic Arms rifle. Fit was impossibly tight--magazine required huge amount of effort to insert and remove from receiver. I called John Masen Co., and asked, they said that they do have problems with Olympic Arms receivers being "on the small side". So, if you shoot Olympic Arms AR-15 rifles, don't buy this magazine!

This magazine was very poor quality compared to my Colt brand one that looks just like this until you start noticing details. This one was too large to fall free from three different AR15s, the follower would easily tip enough to hang in the magazine, and I never made it through a full magazine of only five rounds without a jam. I returned it and am going to purchase the Colt brand magazines to have something I can rely on.

Construction looks good ...

Construction looks good but they don't feed. I thought this would be good for precision shooting but this is brand new and I was already getting misfeeds, the spring does not raise the bullet high enough for the bolt to catch and feed it in. The follower dips forward having the bullets rest with a slight angle nose down. Even though it's cheap it's not worth it.

I've used this magazine ...

I've used this magazine in high power matches. We have some M1 shooters so we shoot 2 in one mag and 8 in the other. These magazine work very well other than being a little snug in my Rock River Arms lower. I have had no malfunctions and the bolt locks back reliably after the last round.

I bought a couple of these magazines for hunting. They have all functioned perfectly. I have not experienced any of the problems that the one star reviewers have noted. I guess the manufacturer has fixed their design flaw. If you are wanting a magazine that works well and is lower capacity buy a few of these. You wont be dissapointed.

I ordered two more of ...

I ordered two more of these, expecting them to be OK. One had an improperly welded seam (would not fit into mag well). I returned it and the replacement had broken seam welds. I returned that one for a refund. I had to alter the second one (from the original order) to get it to feed the last two rounds.See my previous "worst" rating on this same magazine.By the way, the ones I purchased a few years ago work just fine, once the followers were replaced with the old GI black or new GI green followers.

The magazine follower is ...

The magazine follower is a poor design. It allows the cartriges to rotate left and right, the magazine spring doesn't apply pressure evenly along the linear axis of the cartridges. This allows the bullet to be canted upward and the base to be canted downward The cartridge is not parallel to the axis of the rifle's bolt so it will not pick up the round in the magazine.The finish is painted on and wears off, or degrease solvent will remove it. I bought 4 of these magazines and tried them in 2 different Colt rifles with the same results. These magazines are junk.
