Picked this one over the butler creek one because this is the one Ruger sells. It did not let me down. Best purchase for my 10/22 in a long time; it makes shooting so much more enjoyable. Ok; I use 5 factory 10 round Ruger mags. and this thing works great. just dump in 50 rounds and start twisting, loads like butter. The only reason it got 4 stars is because if you do not count exactly 10 full twists as to when the mag is full the the 11th round will be pushed out of the loader and when you don't feel it load and you know it is time to pull the mag from the loader that 11th round will roll out. So I would just set it aside and after I loaded 4 mag and had a few loose rounds left I threw them back in the loader and twisted off the last mag. Highly-Highly recommend this one.

I bought this and the Butler creek loader together 6 weeks ago and loaded a couple dozen magazines with it. Once you get the magazine in it works well but that is an issue-I am a big strong guy who ties bowstrings and hand strength has never been an issue but depressing the two tabs is a pain-my wife cannot use it because she is not strong enough to insert the magazine. After 6 or so magazines, the seam in the magazine well opened up-I popped it closed and kept loading. Tonight it did it again but this time one of the springs dislodged and the winder ceased working despite some careful attempts to put it back in order. I will report on the warranty service when that experience has been completed.My wife has had no problems with the Butler Creek, and until tonight, this Shooters Ridge loader had worked well despite the hassle of inserting the magazines.

Most loaders on the market today have flaws.The most common one is feeding of the ammo, leaving the loader entering the magazine.Practice is much of the answer to smooth loading procedures.Loader must be held at a specific angle to the magazine,and steady firm rotations will reward you with mostly good loading.Don't force the loader as plastic parts can break under extreme pressure.After 3 or 4 25 round magazines being loaded most problems are resolved with proper handling of the unit.

This is a the best speedloader I have used for my 10/22. It loads around 7-1/2, 10-rd Ruger factory rotary magazines with one fill up. One thing to make it easier to load is to put 1 rd in the magazine and then used this loader, after it loads the mag, 1 rd will come out of the loader and just use it for your next mag. Saves lots of time loading!

Worked great loading my ...

Worked great loading my hi-cap aftermarket mags, but would not load the stock Ruger 10-round mag. E-mailed Shooters Ridge, and they suggested loading the first round in the mag manually, and then using the loader for the rest. That solved the problem for me. Loads good other that the glitch with the factory mags.

I've had mine for 3-4 years and it's still in great shape. One thing I did do, however, is dremel down the magazine catches (that so many people here complain about) just a little bit after having to use a lot of effort to remove an Eagle 30rnd mag. Once you get a rhythm going you can load about 3 round a second. After loading a few thousand rounds I clean the groove the rounds sit in with q-tips and lubricate the groove for smoother feeding. I also have the Butler Creek one and unless I'm shooting with a friend this is the only one that I use.

The first time I used this loader it fell apart. The paddle and the button that holds it in came out now it wont stay in. I think it was made to get your money. If you read the warranty youll see what I mean. Its a piece of junk. I couldnt believe it was made in the USA. Save your money dont buy.
