zoom the picture, and you can see through-holes drilled every other slot ... as light as this is, the holes make it even lighter ... weighs almost nothing ... very rigid, though ... with extra-high rings, brings the scope up 1.5in total ... perfect!

Got this to use on my Draco AK pistol and I am not at all impressed. Compared to my older YHM risers this thing is horrible.The metal is very light and not at all solid-feeling. The finish is patchy, gritty and already wearing off after one test mounting (it won't be staying) and the threads on one of the screws have burrs in the middle making it a chore to remove/replace.This will likely be the last YHM product I buy, since their quality appears to really have gone downhill. While the mount will likely work (until that cheap feeling potmetal breaks anyway) I expect better quality for the price.

This is a good solid mount. I used this on a Remington R15 with a Leupold Mark AR 4-12x40 scope and Leupold PRW high rings. This mount elevated the scope and moved it forward enough for perfect eye alignment. This is exactly what I needed to bring the gun and scope together.

It's a good extension ...

It's a good extension rail, quite solid. It did allow me to get a nose to charging handle cheek weld. This five (5") rail should also be long enough for average 3x9 scopes, or smaller, for that cheek weld. I used a 24x fixed Weaver and I was back on the stock, but a Burris FFII 3x9 and a Weaver V 1x3 are fine. Medium rings will be a pretty close co-witness, depending on the rings. The rail just barely didn't clear the double shield hand guards on my M4, so you'll possibly have to take off a little something on the rail or guards if you don't want the rails/hand guards touching.
