Let's do some critical thinking about scopes. Most hunters grossly over-scope their rifles. They mistakenly believe the fable that more scope power makes them a better shot, or a more successful hunter. Not so. They encumber themselves with a too powerful, too physically large scope, which must be mounted on extra high rings. They wonder why their now ill-fitting rifle doesn't "come up" on target. They have to wiggle around, move the rifle butt down to an unnatural position, and stretch their neck, to get a reasonable sight picture, and then watch a high magnification image that doesn't stop "dancing" around. I highly recommend this very practical scope for most hunting situations. It is small, light, very bright, rugged, with good eye relief and a lifetime guarantee. It fits your rifle, and more importantly, it fits you. The stable, non-dancing, super-wide field of view at 2x, and the more than ample magnification of 7x fulfills every practical field requirement.There are no "clicks" to the adjustments, allowing precise zeroing of the point of impact.I have several of these on .22 rimfire thru .375 H7H. They are all rock-solid. The first one I bought is on a model 700 Rem. 30-36. It remains perfectly zeroed, and has not been adjusted since it was installed in 1986. I bought the .375 in 2001. The 2x-7x on it hasn't shifted either.For targets, and varmints, or long range western hunting (over 400 yards), you probably want more glass and an adjustable objective. For a practical, general use hunting scope, this one cannot be beat. Period.The bottom line here is: "More meat in the freezer".Good shooting, my friends.

This is my favorite deer scope. I have 2 of them, one on a 44 mag Ruger deerfield auto and 1 on a MT 25 WSSM. I've killed deer in the 20 to 180 yard range including a couple running. The best thing about this is the eye releief; throw the gun to your shoulder and you have a great view. Holds zero well and I've never had the first moments trouble with them (bought my first one in 2004). In the area where I hunt, if I had to build the ideal deer rifle, it would have this scope!

I purchased this scope because I needed one with a decent eye reflief. I installed this scope on my Marlin .45-70 and this scope has worked out great. It provides enough eye relief so that I do not need to worry about the scope hitting me in the face due to the recoil of the rifle. The optics are also very clear and crisp.

I bought this scope (LP Rifleman 2-7x32) for my Son's Rem 700 Youth Rifle and liked it so much that I bought another one for a lever action I have always wanted to put a scope on. Very solidly built and same Leupold quality as my higher-end scopes. The only negative is that the windage and elevation knobs don't have "clicks" - they're the "friction" type. Not a big deal, but good to know about the Rifleman Series Scopes. Also used the LP Rifleman Rings and Bases and give them 5 stars as well as this scope!!

Has held up to 1000+ rounds of assorted rifles and loads: .22LR, .223 and 100+ rds. atop a Remington 870. It holds its zero despite the heavier recoiling rounds and does so throughout it's magnification range. One word on its lack of "click" adjustments. The scopes friction type adjustment has an advantage over the click type in that it can be set more precisely (in between click-stops) Just some food for thought for those who may need ULTRA-TACK driving accuracy.

An outstanding scope that holds zero on my Marlin 336C at all magnifications. The reticle is razor thin (but not too thin), so it doesn't get in your way; at 100 yds, the bulls eye is nice and close at 7x, and at 2x you're good for the woods. Leupold quality is tried and true; it is worth every penny and more.

Very good scope for the money. I have had mine for 3 years now on a remington model seven .308 and have had no problems and I have hunted in some bad weather. The reason I gave it 4 stars is it is to hard to change magnification.

Scope is bright with excellent eye relief which is needed because of the short body. I especially appreciate the expanded distance between the heavy parts of the reticle. Scope tracks reliably with the click adjustments and doesn't require "test" shots to settle down. This is a reliable and well behaved scope.
