Used this tool on M&P 45 and pin broke pushing rear site off slide. There was a lot of flex in trying to allign push bar and I was going slow, good thing it didn't damage old sights.

This hold-down clamp ...

This hold-down clamp somewhat can hold the slide, it still has some issues. I tried using this to remove stock sights on my XD40 (extremely stubborn) The slide "twists" when the sight is pushed, after everything is clamped down. When clamp is adjusted to fit closer to the "bridge" there is a interference with the knobs and thumb screws. B&J need to provide some various lengths of screws to fix this problem. If the clamp is made to hold more "meat" of the slide, this may work. The screws will make marks on the main B&J base..

Purchased in May. The delrin strip on the bottom dislodged today. So many problems with the complete system. Find another option.

I've had the P500 tool for years. This clamp is a fantastic idea. I also used a C clamp to stop the twisting. This works much better for solving the twisting problem. Good idea B&J.

I bought this direct from B&J a little while ago. I was having trouble with holding my M&P without it twisting. The clamp held it in place and the support screws made the tool much stronger. Great addition to a great tool.

What a great solution to a common problem. I was using a "C" clamp. That was a mess. With this unit I don't even use a vice anymore.
