Product Information

The Barnes Tipped TSX features a 100-percent copper body with rings cut into the shank. A polymer tip boosts the ballistic coefficient, improves long-range ballistics and provides fast expansion. The four razor sharp cutting petals double the bullet diameter making delivering "dead right there" performance.

These revolutionary bullets from Barnes are made of 100% copper and contain no lead. Barnes recommends initially seating bullets 0.050" off the lands. Best accuracy will be found from 0.030" to 0.070" depending on the rifle. This is not loaded ammunition.

I use the Barnes 160 Gr. TSX in my Browning BLR on Caribou here in Alaska. Very accurate and flat shooting. One shot in boiler room and the steak is in the freezer. A little spendy but it only takes one.

I shoot these out of 8400 Montana from Kimber. 24"barrel. Win brass , Fed 215 primers, RL17 powder produces 3225 fps and 3/4" groups. Have killed 4 elk , 2 deer and my father and I have each killed a bull moose. All one shot kills. More than enough knockdown for anything in lower 48 states.

Highly recommend the TTSX. Been building my Browning A-bolt Medallion 325 WSM into a long distant mountain goat gun for an upcoming hunt. Got cloverleaf at a 100 yards moving at ~3350 fps with the TTSX. Had to modify the browning magazine with the moto tool to get an extra .020 of OAL out of the round for it to come close to the lands. Tested it on a white tail buck this season with devastating affect. Broke his left should plus complete pass through out of the stomach on a frontal quartering shot. Can't wait to use these on the goats in BC.

The Barnes 160 gr. TTSX's shoot good on paper. l have not got to use them on game yet. l have no reason to think they will not be good. l have been loading Barnes bullets for years that is all l shoot in all my big game and some varmint loads.try them you won't be sorry.

l have not used these in the field only on paper there they grouped really well. l use only Barnes bullets in all my big game rifles with nothing but the best results.

My first load was an moa at 100 yards,2920 fps in my Remington 700 classic. only hint I'll give you is IMR 4895 and Winchester brass, youll have to take over from there. The terminal performance of this bullet is very impressive, just what Im looking for.In fact this bullet is delivering everything I'm looking for including Accuracy Velocity and Trajectory! Who says you can't have it all? And remember this is just the first load I've tested. I'm also very confident this bullet will perform well in other 8mm guns like 325 mags, 8mm/06 ,and military 8x57. Thank you Barnes Bullets and midway USA for developing and selling this Bullet.

After shooting a few ...

After shooting a few today in a Rem Classic 8x57mm. I have to bump it up notch. Tried 3 loads with H-414 looking for pressure signs to get to the one I thought would work well. A 5 shoot group went 1.215" or 0.892" after deducting for bullet dia, in a light wind @ 100. Not a bad start at all.
