The Bullseye rear sight naturally centers the front bead much like an aperture sight but with improved target visibility. Young or inexperienced shooters will enjoy the ease of aiming. Cowboy action shooters will benefit from the faster target acquisition and improved accuracy. This sight features a standard 3/8" 60° dovetail with a 0.095" depth.

I bought this for my Ruger 10/22 rifle and a 1/2 height front sight on a 3/8 dovetail mount. I wanted sights that I could be used in combination with a scope on a 1" raised mount. The problem before was that rear sight sat too low with a receiver (Not Weaver) scope mount attachment and my older eyes had trouble focusing on the stock rear sight. The bulleye is pointed facing the muzzle end of the barrel which is a plus with my eyes because the two sight focal are much closer and thus clearer for me. With this combination the Bulleye riser adjustment is in the middle of the scale. I have standard 2011 18" barrel. Work great for older eyes. Fits Ruger dovetail perfectly. Put a little thread lock in dovetail for extra securing power. Tested at range, and I get 1" grouping at 25 yards. As other poster noted, the the adjustment is a little stiff. Very Happy!

Pretty good sight, BUT, ...

Pretty good sight, BUT, BE AWARE....... This sight is NOT SASS shooting legal. It was specifically turned down by the Single Action Shooting Society as not being a legal sight for Cowboy Shooting competition, contrary to the company claims. If you use it at a SASS sanctioned match, it will earn you a stage disqualification.

I recently got this sight both in the long and short versions for a rifle and a carbine. They both do an excellent job and are a big improvement over open sights. I rate the long version 5 stars however I rate the short version lower. Being so short though it is very stiff and is almost impossible to adjust the ramp with your fingers. I'll be ordering another long version for the carbine too.

This product is well represented in the information provided. By design, it will never be super accurate. But it is great for quick targets like deer.

Skeptical at first, but ...

Skeptical at first, but figured I'd try it. Very impressed! I posted pics and a range report on the levergunscommunity website under "Marlin CSS Delivered" since it was used on a Marlin. Fast, accurate, and doesn't block out the side view like other aperture sights. Try one on a gun you'd like a 'ghost ring' sight on but want precision as well as speed (that's why there are two rings).
