They features Uni-Cor technology which firmly bonds the core to the jacket and virtually eliminates bullet failures. The hollow point is created after the jacket is built. I loaded these on a lee handpress, lee dies and a dipper sized to throw the maximum Speer Manual Bulls-eye charge for this bullet. Velocities are in the high 900 fps range-a bit slower than the Speer GD factory load. My Baby Browning often suffers failures to feed with factory ball ammo but these have functioned 100 percent. I get full bullet expansion in beef brisket or water jugs .The cartridge is much easier to load than suggested by the current loading manuals and the shot to shot variation is as low as expected with larger calibers. A substantial crimp (like those on the Speer GD and Blazer loads) prevents the rim of the ejecting case from butting up against the case mouth of subsequent rounds
