This is a great DVD on ...

This is a great DVD on building an AR-15. It got 4 stars for two reasons. One, the AWB is gone in most states. However, this video was made during the ban. So, the rifles are all Post-Ban. The instructor also lectures you on not building an illegal rifle. It is at the end, but it is annoying. Second, The DVD comes in a paper sleeve. It should come in a hard plastic case. No big deal. They are cheap, but still. . .Now, the good part. It is broken into chapters for each major assembly for future reference. The video is of decent quality (not great, but suitable for the purpose of instruction). It is hard to see some of the smaller parts being assembled (hands in the way), but the end result is shown. He tells you what is happening while he does it. If you are not familiar with the parts and operation of this rifle, you will be by the end. You will see how very simple it is to build a rifle and save money. It will not teach you the many options you have in building a rifle. It will teach you how to build a mil-spec rifle. I feel very capable of bulding a rifle now. You don't even have to get a complete kit if you don't want to. You could get each assembly separately and make your own kit. With minor mechanical ability and a few tools this is an easy project.

All I can say is this is ...

All I can say is this is a must have video if you want to save money and build your own AR-15. I just completed building my first lower and am starting to add other components as I get the money. The video breaks up the assembly process into chapters, which is really nice to just be able to go to the right section. Robert Dunlap does a great job explaining things, and why he does certain things. It is a little outdated, but the important information is all there. Great buy, I am glad I spent the money!

This video does exactly ...

This video does exactly what they say. It shows you step by step how to build an AR15. If you've never built one before, I recommend this video. I tried the Bushmaster video and couldn't get past the guy swallowing into the mic throughout the whole thing. This guy is clear and precise and very informative.
