I bought this for my Glock 27 that has Heine straight-8 sites. The very tall front site easily fit in holster. The holster is smooth side in, rough side out, says horsehide on it and is very nice material. I ended up returning this holster for two reasons. One, the pistol actually sat so low in the holster it made drawing nearly impossible. Seemed to not be tight enough on the pistol by itself, but while wearing it the pistol remained snugly in place. On the positive side, this made it conceal very well. Opening is not reinforced and will close once pistol is removed making re-holstering nearly impossible while wearing the holster. Of course, not a good idea to holster the weapon while wearing a holster like this if you have a round chambered. Best to put the gun in the holster first, then clip the holster on. The thing that made me return it is the plastic clip. It just doesn't seem sturdy enough to last. I'd like to hear from somebody who used this often for a long time to see if the plastic clip holds up over a long time. Also, the channel that clips over your waistband is fairly narrow. It works great with a thin material like khaki slacks but thicker jean material caused the bottom hook of the clip to stick out a bit. Looks like a quality product. Gets 4 stars for the leather, but -1 for the thin plastic clip. Not sure what kind of warranty is on the holster. $55 is a lot to spend if the clip doesn't last very long.
