The RCBS Uniflow Powder Measure is a solidly constructed powder measure that throws consistently accurate powder charges. This small 500 diameter adjustment screw replaces the small metering screw on old style RCBS Uniflow powder measure.

This is an excellent addition to the Uniflow Powder Measure, IF paired with the Powder Baffle also available for the Uniflow (also from Midway). Without the Baffle, the charge weight will slowly decrease as the powder level goes down in the hopper, but this is true for any measure. The micrometer saves you time in initially setting up your load because you don't have to diddle with the lock nut every time you adjust charge weight. And once you have your desired charge weight set, you write down the micrometer setting and you can return to that weight (for THAT powder), within a half a grain or less, later on. The downsides of this micrometer accessory (and the reason I gave it only four stars) is that it is longer than the factory adjustment screw, so you sometimes have to readjust the measure in its mount to keep the micrometer from hitting something. And the micrometer adds enough weight off-center to the drum that when you dump a charge and release the handle, the drum will rotate back to the refill position (in other words, the handle will go back up due to the weight of the micrometer). But these minor inconveniences are far outweighed by the ease of adjustment and ease of returning to a desired charge weight that this accessory adds. But remember to buy the Powder Baffle along with the Micrometer.

Excellent product. Find your load, record the number. Next time just dial the number in and your are back in business. I ALWAYS check with the powder scale. By using both the vernier setting and the scale results you get a safe double check. The vernier has always set the correct load with no additional manipulation. My lot to lot consistency is way up. You won't be disappointed.

Good product, makes setting up the powder drop much quicker. Seems to allow much finer control over adjustments. The only down side that I had is that the unit does not exactly fit my Uniflow. The threads in my unit are not long enough to allow the micrometer to seat against the spacers provided. It stops about an 1/8th of an inch short, so you cannot adjust the position of the numbers.

This product has been one the best things I have bought. It make changing load settings quick. I record the number and go back fast. Saves a lot of time. You will however get different reading when changing powder lots.

Great product, really speeds up switching. Just record settings then dial back the next time. I have 2 product improvement suggestions: 1. make the face of the mic screw flat and smooth like the regular screw, then accuracy should improve, 2. Add a set screw. In use, the dial will move a little and needs to be watched. A set screw would improve accuracy and user confidence.

This is a great product, and I love it. I always used the numbers on the regular screw to get close, but the scale on this unit has 50 marks per turn, so you can be very precise. It has a rubber washer to keep it from moving during use, and I was able to set it up just fine following the instructions. My only gripe, it's heavy, so it makes the drum want to come to rest in the load position instead of the dump position.
