Much leading, but easy to clean

I used these in a 10mm s&w 1006. The leading was terrible; great shards of lead came out after cleaning only a clip or 3. Also, the bullet feels very rough where the rounded portion meets the flat point. However, it cleaned very easily, so I'm undecided on whether to buy again. If I keep shooting them, I may just have to clean the barrel VERY often.

First thing I noticed was lube was where it was supposed to be,ie: in the groove. A random sample checked with an electronic caliper showed size between .401- .4015. The same handfull weighed an avg. of 178 grains. The base of the bullets are very smooth, but most all have a very small dip in the center,( probably explains the slighty light weight). Good crimp groove and base has a good bevel. I fired these through a Colt New Service made in the 1930's and a Winchester Model 92 made in 1908. They performed with out a hitch or hiccup in both firearms. I found the "Won't lead your barrel" claim to be very accurate. It only took appx. 1 hr. with an outters foul out for the rifle to come clean with the smallest amount of residue on the rod I've ever seen. All in all this is a great round for reloader of the 38wcf.
