I have several of these ...

I have several of these too. One holds my military tritium lensatic compass, others hold small items. Two hold rolls of TP. (REI sells rolls of TP sealed in plastic wrap). These are not water proof so make use of 'dem zip locks sweetpea!Good item for my CAP cadet buds and those on a SAR team. Don't forget those alice clips. Need only one for this item.

Mine were in brand new ...

Mine were in brand new condition. Flap snap and ALICE connector work perfect. I bought several more after the first to carry other small items in zip lock bags. I compared them to several at a local Army Surplus store. Surplus store price was $6+, but they were dirty and most missing ALICE connectors and some snaps were very loose or worthless. I've bought several full ALICE sets from Midway and everything looked nearly new. Everything was serviceable and will last for many years. But in the end it's just a compass pouch.
