GameKing Bullets are designed for hunting at long range, where their extra margin of performance can make the critical difference. GameKing bullets feature a boat tail design to bring hunters the ballistic advantage normally found with match target bullets. This bullet was patterned after the 168 Grain MatchKing. It is a tougher bullet than the 165 Spitzer and deliver deeper penetration and great expansion on medium game.

I have used this bullet since late '70s in 308 Win to 300 Win Mag. Explosive results in Deer, Elk, and Moose with lung shots. Avoid heart/ shoulder shots, as bullet in 308 Win. and larger can ruin a lot of meat. Good extreme long range (bean field) round (400 yrds+) on Deer. Accuracy equal to Match Bullets out to around 600yrds in fast twist barrels.

This is without a doubt the favorite bullet of my .300 WinMag in terms of accuracy. It shames the Nosler BT for grouping! However, we found one problem; when we used it for whitetail in La, we had several deer run after taking behind the shoulder shots from under 100 yards. The two we found had a small entry wound, MASSIVE tissue damage internally but no exit wound. This made them extremely hard to track. I would love to continue using it, but three hard times in a row has spooked me. Any tips would be appreciated.

I purchased these bullets for my Savage Model 10 FP. The accuracy is everything that I have come to expect from Sierra bullets. With 1/2 MOA groups common at the local range. Having used Barnes bullets for many years, I decided to try these 165 Grain Gameking HPBT for deer hunting this year. I have been very pleased with the performance. I took a friend hunting in South Texas where he had the first opportunity to try out these bullets on a South Texas Whitetail Buck. One Shot, One Kill, Dead Right There. I am confident that I have finally found a bullet that will shoot like a match bullet at the range and perform as well as many higher priced bullets in the field.

use this bullet in a 300 whisper(aac blackout) over 10 gr of h110 shot a deer at 65 yards with it broadside watched thru scope looked like someone pulled its legs out from under it small hole in 3/4 wide by 4 in long gash out bullet hit rib broke it and shoved it out thru hide found it rib with bullet embedded in it 10 ft away only bullet I will use anymore Using a 16 inch brux barrel 1-8 twist bolt action savage with 4-14 lupie shoots 1/2 in groups outside measurments

I have used this bullet for many years, in .308 win. and .30-06, in high-power competition reduced courses up to 300yds, and big game hunting. Springfields, M-1s, Armalites, factory and custom hunting rifles of all kinds. Never a problem getting 1/2 - 3/4 moa groups, with just a little tweeking IMR-4064 for .308 and '06. 41-41.5 in .308 and 46.0 in '06 (for 2535fps, average deviation of 10fps in my 30-06 Mauser deer rifle). Not as fast as it could be, but 1/2 moa and still tears right through big deer and performs flawlessly. I have used this bullet exclusively for for accuracy work to 300m in all types of precision / tactical rifles, the open h.p. allows one to seat the bullet out closer to the lands and keep o.a.l. within magazine dimensions too. (versus say a M.K.)

I have read these reviews. I have used this bullet in 308 and 30-06 reloads for over 35 years. I have killed many deer and have never had a moments problem with penetration, separation or the deer going more than 20-30 yards. There are Match King bullets that are not designed for use in hunting applications. They will separate. This is a first class bullet and deadly on deer sized game.

This bullet sure shoots straight. 100yds, 3shots, always 1/2 - 3/4" from a win mod 70 30/06. 2850 fps w/IMR 4064 powder. If it kills deer as well as it shoots paper this is one heck of a great bullet. Lots good reviews from others on its game performance so we shall see this fall when I take it into the deer woods.

I had several friends recommend this bullet to me. I kept putting it off but finally decided to try it in my Weatherby Vanguard .30-06 and see what all the hype was about.WOW! My best load with H4350 was .165" for a three shot group at 100 yards. This was out of a 28 year old rifle!I think I'm good with these bullets.

This bullet and Hodgdon Varget in my Rem.660 Carbine 308 Win. will generally put 3 shots touching at 100yds. I've shot several elk with this rifle and load all with one shot kills. Sierra claims that this Hollow Point version of the 165gr. Boat Tail bullet is tougher than the Spitzer version. This is another bullet that has been around forever, that alone says it's got to be good to be able to stand the test of time, and still be in production.

This is a follow up to my review earlier. I didn't get a bear on the river this year but this bullet took a very big bodied 4 point mule deer. Quartering towards us at 100 yards the bullet went in through the front left shoulder and out the rib cage with two exit holes, one from the core and the other from the jacket. The deer ran 100 yards and piled up dead. When we gutted him the lungs were mush. I am very happy with this bullet and with moderate velocity cartridges this is an awesome bullet.

Load these for a Howa ...

Load these for a Howa 1500/.308 I own. MOA is achieved with no problem. Place this round on top of H4895 with a Remington Case and use a Federal 210 primer. Shot a buck quartering away at 60 yards. The 165gr did it's job in short order. When I dressed the buck out. The heart was mush. Exit wound was about one inch in diameter. He piled up about 70 yards away.

In my Savage 10FP these are actually more accurate than the MatchKing. Had to load them pretty short to keep them out of the lands. Sub-MOA for me. Dropped my first deer with one too.
