Got this fitted as discribed onto the rear sight but only after some grinding and deburring of sharp edges. The metal is cheap and stamped out then bent to shape. There was no finish (paint or coating) and bends too easily. Scope wouldn't fit over it (40mm Objective). Won't reccomend this except to the Chinese. Tapco is miles ahead.

I had to tweak it a bit ...

I had to tweak it a bit to get it to fit right, but once that happened, it worked perfectly. It came as bare metal and I am not sure if that is so you can paint it yourself or not, but I was expecting a "steel blue" finish. Other than that, I recommend this product.

As the SKS ejects ...

As the SKS ejects vertically, this deflector enables the use of a long scope projecting over the action. With a cheap 3 x 9 scope I can hit the 360-yd steel target at my range every time. Using Wolf 154-gr SP ammo from Midway, and no longer than a 10-round mag, the SKS becomes a practical deer rifle.

Works great once installed right on an SKS, not sure about an AK. Keeps cases from being thrown every direction. Needs a better set of instructions.
