The RCBS Powder Funnel for 22 to 45 caliber cases is ideal for reloaders who are looking for an all around powder measure. The drop tube was specially designed to avoid messy powder spills around the case mouth while the measure features a non-stick, anti-static surface to prevent powder from sticking and square lip to prevent rolling.

This thing won't work ...

This thing won't work well on .223 cases. The hole is too large. You can make it work to some degree if you don't mind frustration and lost powder.

I bought this funnel to ...

I bought this funnel to replace my dads old funnel (an rcbs) that we have both used on 22 caliber cases. I replaced the old one because the roughly 4000 cases a year (mostly 22 cal) wore it out (the hole got to big). To my dismay the one I replaced it with is worse than the old one. This funnel is fine for 22 cal+. To fix the static problem just tap it with your pan, its a good habit to get into anyways.

There is a reason this ...

There is a reason this has an average of 2 stars. It is junk. While it is advertised as a .22-.45 caliber funnel, it is not for .223s. As previously noted, most .223 rounds are too small and will protrude through the hole. You can use this funnel if very careful, but it is not what is advertised. I have also had issues with static, and while a drier sheet works, I haven't had issues with Lee funnels. DON'T BUY THIS FUNNEL.

I used it with 223 okay ...

I used it with 223 okay but it did wiggle around a bit. I could see the 223 case but it didn't present a problem. I did have to use a dryer sheet on it because of the static. I was worried about static after buying it so I was very careful about what I put it on or around but it didn't help. Several grains of Varget would stick before I used the dryer sheet. I haven't used other funnels yet but I'm ordering a Lee today to try.

For the folks upset about static. Old reloaders tip. Use dryer sheets on all plastic items in reloading. No more sticking powder.

Same problem as the ...

Same problem as the others, doesn't fit tightly over a .223. Haven't used it yet because of that and probably won't. Get a funnel that will fit tightly over all cases big or small. A friend of mine has one that is actually mounted to his bench, I thought that made things easier, this doesn't have a hole for bench mounting.

Got one to replace an old ...

Got one to replace an old see through green RCBS funnel that was the absolute best. Tried this one and several others. All allow powder to static stick to the sides of the funnel. The old RCBS never -ever stuck any powder. Had to bring the old one back out. Wouldn't buy one of the newer ones again.

Same problem as above, funnel will slip completely over the neck of a 223, Also the end of funnel is too long to set on a pistol case when the case is in a loading tray.

This may be okay for ...

This may be okay for other cartridges but it isn't for .223's. The opening is too large and the neck of the case goes into the funnel. When you lift it off it spills power. Powder clings to it also.

As an all in one design, ...

As an all in one design, it's OK. However, the plastic is a static magnet and at best several flakes of powder stick to it each time taking the accuracy out of weighed charges. Maybe rubbing it with dryer sheets would help, but didn't have any on hand.
