Product Information

BlackGun Industries has developed some of the most consistent ammunition on the market. Every round has been loaded to meet very strict quality control measures and is loaded on top quality, industrial grade, automated loaders, in an ISO 9000:2008, DOD approved Military Specification facility. This equipment gives BGI the ability to measure propellant charges to within .015 grains; ensuring every round fired will be accurate, consistent and precise. Every component and each lot of ammunition produced has gone through strict quality control processes including; incoming inspections, in process inspections, final lot acceptance tests, and velocity and pressure measurements. Because of this strict quality control process BlackGun ensures only the best ammunition is manufactured and sold.

The 223 Remington loaded from BlackGun Industries is loaded with a 55 grain M193 projectile in new Lake City 5.56x45mm NATO brass to 223 Remington pressure specifications. Lake City brass is produced to Military Specifications and is known for its high quality and consistency. This brass does have the crimped in primer. All of the components this ammunition is loaded with are all brand new, including the Lake City brass. Lake City brass is polished before, but not after final annealing in order to leave the annealing iris visible per military specification inspection requirements. This ammunition is accurate and reliable but is not polished to a shine and does show evidence of the manufacturing process. This ammunition is New Production, loaded in boxer-primed reloadable brass cases.

Can't beat price and accuracy

Can't beat the price and accuracy. Discoloration is normal as mil spec does not clean after treating. Only shot 100 rounds out of 500 round order. All functioned perfectly out of my Sig. Only went out to 200 yds with great accuracy. Great service as I received in three business days all the way to Florida. I will buy again.

Don't judge the brass by it's shinyness.

I usually buy good ammunition but saw the price difference and how much cheaper BlackGun industries ammo was, figured I'd try it out. It was kind of a shock seeing that they didn't polish the brass but I got to thinking about it and the shinyness doesn't determind how it will shoot and overall is not important. But the ammunition shot great! I have an aim point red dot sight on my LWRC M6 A2 SPR and shot under a 3" group at a hundred yards for my accuracy test. Then to test reliability I shot free hand at fifty yards at a 8" pie plate and all 15 shots were on the pie plate and I had a friend who was able to do the same thing. Shot 100 rounds never a jam up or misfire very good ammunition, I WILL keep buying this ammo until they stop making it, especially since it saves me quite a few bucks.

Just received my order today. First I will say, this is not re manned ammmo. It's mil spec very similar to other mil spec ammo I have purchased in the past. It's not polished brass like remington or other big brands. The ammo looks just how I would expect it to, but the real test will come when I test it at the range. I will post my results after I shoot. I will say that this is a great price and it's not sold out or back ordered like a lot of other brands are.
