Just this past weekend I was at a shoot were the range was to the West. Around 3:00 I started hearing guys complain about the sun reflecting off their scopes and making it hard to see anything down range. I never missed a target or even had the slightest amount of glare from the sun. In fact my 17HMR was the only scoped gun being shot from 3:30 until almost 5:00 when the sun finely broke past the tree line shading us at the firing line. And the best part of all is it makes a Simmons 6.5x20-50 look pretty BAD on any rifle.

Just What The Doctor Ordered

This is a nice sunshade and fits the Whitetail Classic like a glove. Unlike some sunshades this one attaches to the inside of the scope tube. While objective lens on the scope uses a #48 Butler Creek pop-up lens cap, the sunshade needs a #47 (MidwayUSA # 771188).

I also read some reviews stating the finish didn't match the scope but mine is perfect. Maybe Simmons had some complaints and addressed this.

Nice product at a good price that will help eliminate that nasty glare in sunny situations.

This is a great product for hunting or shooting early mornings or late afternoons when the sun is low on the horizon. It does add an extra 4" of length to your scope but the advantages far out weigh the extra length.

I have two and they fit great on both of my two Simmons scopes. Fit and finish are perfect. They feel solid but light. I bought both on sale so thank you Midway for that.Invaluable for when the sun is in front of you. Also makes the scopes look awesome and the rifles deadly!

Fits and functions well. Just wish since it is labeled for the Whitetail Classic that it had the same finish. Looks like I just went to an auction website and found a cheap knockoff that would fit (which is maybe what I should have done for much cheaper).

A great addition to a great scope (Like a lot of shooters, I actually own a couple of the Simmons WTC 6.5 - 20 X 50 scopes). Excellent fit & function. The sunshade is quite effective when shooting under tough bright conditions. No problem giving a five star rating here!
