Love my die set. Proper ...

Love my die set. Proper bullets for these are flat nosed. They must be straight in the case as they approach the seating stem. To avoid any nose damage. I seat in two steps. First with the seating stem backed out to start the bullet and second with the seating stem run in to the proper seating depth. Keep the cases trimmed to uniform length. The factory crimp die does an awesome job. I use a Lee universal expanding die to just bell the case mouths for snag-free seating.

I bought these to replace the RCBS cowboy dies that ruined 30% of my brass. These Lee dies are exellent! Very easy to use. This was my first time with the factory crimp die that comes with the set and it worked great. You can put a real firm crimp without distorting the brass.

While researching dies with which to load my 25-20 WCF, I looked at, and read, all the reviews on all the dies available. Having used the Lee Dies for other calibers, I decided that, the Lee die would probably be the best one, not just for the price, but for Lee's quality, plus the fact that Lee includes a shell holder with its dies. For the money, they are a great investment, plus they work as advertised, and are easy to set up in the press.The only negative experience that I had was when I cleaned them. I used a spray aerosol "cleaner/degreaser" by Birchwood/Casey called "Gun Scrubber" to clean them with. After cleaning, I noticed the "O" rings around the lock nuts on the dies, plus the one on the seating stem, were swelling. Eventually they deteriorated so badly that they became unusable. This was not the fault of Birchwood/Casey, it was mine! They have a fine product, and it works very well, on metal!I contacted Lee Precision and explained what had happened, and they quickly sent replacement "O" rings, NO CHARGE, for my dies, and I was back in business in short order. I really appreciate customer support like that. The only additional comment I would have is that one should not use a "cleaner/degreaser" to clean these dies with.I have not had any problems with the sizing die during sizing. The brass comes out sized as per specs with no deformation. The seating die works flawlessly, and the factory crimp die is one of the best I have ever used. This Lee die set is a good product, and I highly recommend it.
