Product Information

All Doubletap ammunition is loaded for high performance through any firearm. Loaded with the Nosler Ballistic Tip Hunting bullet, this load features precision construction. The bullets are individually inspected for the utmost quality which translates to incredible accuracy with every shot. The heavy jacket base prevents bullet deformation during firing and holds together at extreme velocities as well as a polycarbonate tip that resists deformation in the magazine and initiates expansion upon impact. The bullet's mid-section keeps it together at any velocity until impact, and a uniform, pure lead core eliminates possible imbalance and erratic flight caused by air pockets. This ammunition is new-production, non-corrosive in boxer-primed, reloadable brass cases.

The ammunition performs ...

The ammunition performs very well at wide-ranging distances and under varied conditions. It was accurate and quite effective on antelope at distances of 318, 398 and 446 yards, as well as on coyotes under 100 yard and beyond 400 yards. The higher ballistic coefficient also allowed predictable accuracy at up to 775 yards on an 8 target. I highly recommend the product, and plan to purchase more, and make the ammunition one of, if not the primary load for the .308.

I have used the 125gr. ...

I have used the 125gr. Nosler Ballistic tip for reloading for about a year now. I usually load with a minimum load and it makes for an extremely light recoiling but accurate round.I recently purchased a Kimber 84m 308. When I bought the rifle I went ahead and ordered a Leupold custom shop reticule calibrated for this bullet. It just so happens that the Nosler custom 150gr. has almost identical ballistics. My intentions were to use the 125 gr. for white tail and the 150gr. accubond for Elk. I just got back from my shooting range and they both shoot extremely well from my light weight kimber.Both loads are spot on and well under an inch at 100yards. The 125gr. by double tap shoots better than my handloads using the same projectile. Recoil is very mild and accuracy can't be beat.I know this bullet will perform excellently on white tail deer and can't wait till next deer season.I would like to thank Midway for providing such a great product.

Last Nov. took a 160 ...

Last Nov. took a 160 pound Adirondack Buck with this load and dropped him where he stood. This is the only load I use now in my 308....Excellent

I have a T/C Encore with ...

I have a T/C Encore with a 28" Pro Hunter barrel in .308.I have been using 150 grain Winchester Ballistic Silvertips, and they group very good for me. I wanted to try a lighter bullet, and found these 125 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips from Double Tap. I only bought one box to try because I was worried that they might not group well with my 1-10 twist 28" Pro Hunter barrel.Let me tell you, I will be buying more of these. I shot several 5/8" groups at 100 yards. This is an excellent product. Less recoil than the 150 grain bullets, and VERY accurate. I will be using them in two weeks for deer season in West Virginia. I also plan on using them for long range varmint hunting. I have since used this on a deer hunt in West Virginia. I used the Double Tap 125 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip bullet to take a large doe that weighed 160 pounds before dressing. The shot was at 122 yards (range finder). Bullet hit the deer at the neck / left shoulder junction while she was eating grass in a field. The bullet shattered the shoulder, took out several ribs, literally cut the heart in two, broke two ribs on the opposite side, and came to rest just below the hide on the far side. After all that, the bullet kept about half it's weight. The deer was DRT.Great product. Thanks Midway and Double Tap.
