GameKing Bullets are designed for hunting at long range, where their extra margin of performance can make the critical difference. GameKing bullets feature a boat tail design to bring hunters the ballistic advantage normally found with match target bullets. The 270 Caliber 140 Grain Hollow Point GameKing was originally designed for use on medium to large game at shorter ranges but also performs well at long ranges. This tough bullet may be loaded to high velocities and expands great at all ranges.

Excellent for deer sized game. Great accuracy and tremendous soft tissue damage. Blows big holes. I've used for 15+ years and deer do not walk away.

The .270 defined....To be brief. All below had muzzle velocity of 3210 FPS.white tail #1: 250 yds, quartering away. The bullet entered behind the rib cage in the paunch and exited through the offside neck. Excellent penetration and expansion but no bones were struck. Deer expired instantly.#2: 100 yds, broadside. Deer was hit squarely in the shoulder. No exit wound. Offside shoulder was littered with bullet fragments under the hide. Deer did not wiggle.#3: 65 yds broadside, deer was hit behind the shoulder. Dime in, quarter out. Chunks of lung were found in nearby cedar tree. Deer did not wiggle.#4: 250 yds running straight away. Deer was hit 1/3 of the way up the neck from the base. Deer flipped end for end and broke off main beam. Bullet did not exit neck nor kill the animal. The placement was barely touching the right side of the spinal column but nerve center was undamaged. Deer was immobilized and able to be easily "terminated" with a knife behind the shoulder. The bullet jacket was recovered but no lead was to be found.Summary: I have not had a deer take a step but have had a variance in penetration and performance. Looking back, I feel fortunate to have made shot #1 count as at high velocities this bullet appears to fragment. For the deer hunter that hunts a bucket of corn and shoots them broadside, this bullet is the ticket. For the stalker and rattler, this bullet is marginal for the compromised shots that may present themselves such as running deer or tough "away" shots. Great product, I have 1000 of them in my .270 drawer and will use a different caliber for a different application. This IS my .270 bullet of choice.

These are the only bullets to use in a .270, one shot kills and they leave a big hole. They are very accurate. I have used them for several years with no complaints.

These bullets shoot like match bullets and perform like expensive premium bullets on game.I wish I had bought and tried these bullets before buying all the other weights and types that now gather dust on my shelf.I consider these the best buy in .270 bullets.

These are the best 270 caliber hunting bullets you can buy --- period. They have the accuracy of the Sierra MatchKing Bullets and take down game as good as or better than any other bullet on the market. Sierra also sells a soft point exposed lead 140gr. GameKing 270 bullet --- These hollow point ones are better both in accuracy and terminal performance. That soft lead point can lead to inaccuracies and "fliers" if it gets bunged up in the guns magazine and the hollow point blows bigger exit holes in game then the soft point which translates to quicker kills.

My dad has used them for ten years. Almost all the deer kills have been one shot and instant humane kills. From under 50 yards to over 150 yards it is the most accurate and consistent performer we have tried. Even in five different guns.

Using AA3100, accuracy ...

Using AA3100, accuracy was as close to benchrest as you could imagine from a factory hunting rifle. Shooting this bullet now through my custom 270s is even more enjoyable. It's nice to go to the range and make one small hole about the size of a dime and know that at least a dozen bullets followed the same path. One of my favorite pet loads. I've only killed small game with this load though. Not by choice, I just didn't have an opportunity while deer hunting. I've killed 5 coyotes with it though, the closest was 9 steps from the ground and the farthest was just over 300 yards. Of course these animals died on impact. Accuracy was excellent with AA3100, IMR4350, and Re19 in ALL of my guns (excellent to me means 1/2" consistently).

I've been using these bullets on deer for over 10 years now and have yet to see a deer run on me. I've taken over 35 deer with these and all but 3 have been complete pass throughs and I think it's because the 3 that the bullet didn't go through were taken at over 300 yards. I recently did the switch to a 270WSM and the results are even more impressive. This year I was fortunate enough to go on a black bear hunt and I hit one square in the chest when it was standing up. The bullet plowed through the breast plate and left a 4" exit wound on this 400lb bear. After seeing that, I would even think twice about using them on elk as well.

I have used these bullets for a number of years on deer, but never had a real challenge for them until a recent wild hog hunt. I took a 300 pound wild boar at approximately 250 yards with one shot just in front of the shoulder. The amazing thing was the guide said the hog didn't even take one step, (according to him that was unusual for a hog that size). Very accurate round with great performance on deer to fairly heavy and mean wild hogs.
