This Diode Module inserts into your gun's chamber and emits a laser through the barrel so that you can adjust the sights or scope to be on paper at 25 yards. This saves both time and ammunition when sighting in. This laser diode will work alone for the 223 Remington, and other arbors are available (sold separately) to adapt this diode for use with other rifle calibers. Includes 3 LR41 button-type battery cells and a foam lined storage case.

I recently purchased the .223 laser and the .308 arbor. I used it on my .308 and was pleased with the sighting in process. On the AimSHOT website, and reading the instructions and the owners information, it states that the battery life is only, "20 minutes continuous." If this is accurate, then sighting in several rifles may cause the loss of battery power. With this in mind.I went to my local Battery World to purchase additional batteries. I asked the owner for three of the recommended LR 41 batteries. He then asked if I was certain that the LR 41 was what I wanted. He went on to say that the LR 41 battery is old technology, (1960's), it was an alkaline base and could leak. He recommended getting the SR41W, Sony # 392 instead as they are a Silver Oxide base and dont leak. I went with his recommendation and bought six of the SR41W batteries. Three to replace the LR 41 batteries and three additional as replacements should the batteries die while in use. Yes, I have contacted AimSHOT with this information.

This little guy is slick. Only thing you have to load it into the chamber by hand which can be a pain on an AR. Red laser is not bright enough to be seen in the day time past 10-15 yards, but at the range I go to which is outdoor and open until 9pm, this thing really shines well out to 100 yards making 100 yard zeroing a cinch so long as your rig is bench rested solid. Do your zeroing early in the am or late in the pm once the sun is below the horizon and see that this is one of the easiest bore sight tools you have come across. Arbors are ok, but the whole sight-in at 25 yard thing and then walk your shots to the center at 100 yards with the spotting scope just takes too much time and effort for the regular Joe. This thing was easy enough that my woman did the sight in for me at 100 yards and taught her all at the same time what those knobs on a scope were for in the first place.

I should have bought this a long time ago. Makes sighting my AR incredibly easy and fast. Saves a lot of money in the long run. I also like the carrying case it came with as well as it's versatility. Eventually I need to buy a couple more arbors for it.

Mine arrived today along with sleeves for 300 Win Mag and 308 Win. Works like a charm. As there is no positive on/off switch, you need to remove the batteries when your through or run the risk of running the batteries down. As you only use this gadget occasionally, that's no big problem. It comes in a nice zippered case that has room for the sleeves and extra batteries. All in all, its a pretty nice unit.

Yes I have used my Laser Bore Sight 223. My son and I just returned back from a good deer hunt to Texas and after sighting in our rifles and a short test at the range we were able to bring down our deer in each case with one shot. You can say yes this product was a major help and worked very well.Thanks for a product that works .

I use this boresighter ...

I use this boresighter when I build Ak47 & 74's with nem US Barrels or when building a Virgin AK Parts kit to align the front sight. In short when building these type guns the front sight must be installed on the barrel in exactly the correct rotation or the windage will be so far off you won't be able to set it. With the height of the sight post a little bit of rotation makes a huge difference! By using this boresighter I am able to install it in the barrel then look through my sights and rotate it to exactly the right spot before pressing and pinning it on so that when I go to the range at its completion my sights are already perfectly aligned for windage. Without this tool this task was nearly impossible and required pressing the sight on and off multiple times. Overall this is a very nice tool and very effective for the job. The wide selection of Arbors for various calibers make it very cost effective as well. Be sure to remove the batteries when you're finished with it as it is not a tool you will use very often but when you do need it nothing else will work! Highly recomended.
