Right out of the box, they stick in my magazine well unless I hold the release in while stripping them. That probably will go away over time though because my PMAGs used to do that too. They lock the bolt back while empty and all 42 rounds feed perfectly. The follower stays level and the spring seems pretty strong because it took a little extra effort to release my bolt catch than what I'm used to. Having said that, they load 42 without having to use a mag loader or an unusual amount of effort. I'm very happy with them and I would certainly recommend picking up a few of them for when the zombies come.

No issues with it working. Feeds good in my kel-tec Su 16a. I don't like how long it is. Fits 42 as said but is big and bulky wish I would have gotten 2 aluminum 30's instead. Quality is fair but its much longer than you would think by looking at the pic. Would say it is worth the money but expect a much longer mag than your used to, about 9 1/2 inches total and 7 1/4 when in the gun.

2 stars at best. hangs up every third round or so. I put 300 rounds through it today and i was disappointed. I'm going to stay with my AR-Stoner 30 rnd mags for now. Midway is still a great place to shop. thanks!

I generally do not like a lot of what Pro Mag makes, but they did well on the AR-15 42 round magazines. I have shot hundreds of rounds through mine, and have not experienced a single mag-related failure of any kind. The only problem is that the mould mark on the mag catch side of the magazine that says, "5.56x45" is too deep and will hang up on the mag catch if you don't keep it pressed in, thus preventing the mag from falling free with only a normal quick press of the mag release. But, this is easily solved by trimming/beveling the upper edge of the mold mark with an Exacto Knife. Once done, the mags eject properly and there are no further issues. Pro Mag needs to address this immediately in their factory. It is easy enough to make the mod yourself, and you end up with a really great mag that looks extremely cool in the M-4 type AR's. They seem really tough, but I cannot speak about the durability of the mag as far as how much abuse it can take. I hope someone will record themselves subjecting it too extreme abuse, like you see with the Magpul, Troy, and Tango Down mags. That would be good information to have. Maybe I'll do a YouTube on that. But for now, I can at least say they are consistent, reliable, and give my rifle a great profile.

Even after reading some of the negative reviews, I decided to give this a try. Glad I did! Has not jammed or mis-fed one time in numerous trips to the range using mixed ammo, steel & brass from varoius sources. It gets a 4 instead of a five due to its size. I have a bipod foregrip and the mag is too long to use on a bench. Bench bags may help. Granted thats not really a fault but I did spend my money & the magazine won't do everything I want it to. I run a DPMS sportical

Having seen all of the positive reviews on these mags, I promptly ordered five. Biggest mistake ever. Not one of the five magazines will reliably feed all 42 rounds before it jams. Don't waste your time on these. Besides, Magpul is supposed to be coming out with a 40 rd polymer mag soon...

First thing I was immediately impressed with the quality and design. Fits snugly in rifle, but holds 42 rounds like it is supposed to. Not hard to load. Self leveling follower. The best value in a high cap magazine you can get. forget surefire, get these for cheap
