ProMag magazine bodies are constructed of high carbon heat-treated steel and TIG-welded for strength. The springs are precision wound using heat-treated chrome silicon wire. Bases and followers are injection molded from polymers selected for their durability. The result is quality, consistency, durability and reliability.

I have 2 promags for my ...

I have 2 promags for my 908. They work well for the range but jam 1 out of 28 to 30 rounds (with hollow pts or flat nose). No problems loading round nose bullets. I have 3 S&W mags, no problems out of 2000 rnds.

I have six S&W, 908 mags ...

I have six S&W, 908 mags and they all work perfectly, all the time. I have two ProMag, 908 mags and they both work most of the time; however, a good mag must work 100% of the time. Problem with both of my ProMag 908 mags is the same - failure to feed/chamber the first round. This failure occurs consistently approx once out of every three uses - resulting in a jam. These are well made mags, that are OK for the range, if you do not mind clearing jams 1 out of 3 times. Obviously, you must take great care in selecting mags for personal defense. The ProMag will not cut it in my 908. I have never had this or any problem with S&W mags in my 908. I have not had this problem with other ProMag mags. Although the cost savings is significant, it's not worth the risk.

Purchased one of the ...

Purchased one of the ProMag for the 3913. When it came in it was more than expected. Put about 70 rounds thru it and it compared with the factory original. Won't give it 5 stars until more of a workout is done with it, but it sure does looks promising at 1/2 the cost.

I had to file the top of ...

I had to file the top of the base down to get both of the mags to seat properly without excessive force. Once I did that, both mags have worked perfectly. At half the price of the S&W mags I can't complain too much.
