I recently bought a set of these dies for my TC Encore .444 Marlin Carbine, they work well enough but don't seem to do as nice a job as some of the other Lee dies I have. They are Steel Dies so cases Must be Lubed before sizing. After that they work more like pistol dies than Rifle Dies, the Expander Die works a bit to well so take your time to make sure not to create excessive flare on your case mouth, And finally the Seating/Crimping Die.....First let me say I never do those two processes together on any caliber anyway and it's even more important with these. The Seating die works like any Lee pistol seating die, Adjust it so the stem seats to the depth you want and the body takes the Flare back out of the case mouth in the first step, after you finish loading all your rounds go back and unscrew your seating stem so it is clear of the bullet and then screw your Die Body further in the press so as to Roll Crimp your bullet in. I personally just ordered the Factory Rifle Crimp Die so I wont have to bother with this any more, Those do a good job.Also when your Crimping your bullet in beware of your case and make sure not to over crimp it or you will buckle the case quite easily I was surprised in fact as how easy the cases do buckle on this caliber.Although I have several calibers I load with Lee Dies I think I'm going to set these to the side and get a set of Hornady Dies for this caliber RemMax

The dies are easy to set ...

The dies are easy to set up and use. I use the bullet seating/crimping die only to seat the bullets. I purchased the Lee Factory Crimp Die for crimping as I use a 300 grain hard cast bullet from a Lee mold and crimp the bullet just above the crimping groove in the bullet for good fit in my Marlin. I use surplus powder, WC-844, and this lot seems to be a little faster than H-335 as I am getting about 2150 FPS. Accuracy isn't exactly what I am looking for at about 2" for a 5 shot group at 100 yards but this may be due to the loose screw behind the trigger.
