These grips are made of soft rubber with a cobblestone (stippled) surface for good grip control. Black.

I put these grips on a Ruger Redhawk, replacing the wooden stock grips.They go on easily and fit the gun precisely. The grips add some space for the little finger, which is nice. However, the gun doesn't fit in the original box after being fitted. The grips felt thinner than the stock grips, haven't measured but it's likely subjective since they appear to be larger.My hands (about medium to large) fit nicely in the grips and they stick like glue. I used to have a problem of my supporting hand index finger getting whacked by the trigger guard during recoil. The grips have solved that problem for me, by not letting my shooting hand slide during recoil. Plus they make it easier to set my supporting hand in exactly the smae place over my shooting hand every time.Good product, which I'd buy again and recommend.

I've had the Pachmayr Presentation grip for ~20 years, so I thought I would try this new grip. Nice grip but way too small and does not "fill the hand" if you have a larger hand. Sent it back and kept my old Pachmayr Presentation grip!

I know Hogue Monogrips are popular on Redhawks these days, but they just don't feel very comfortable in my hands. The finger ridges are such that I have to grip the stock lower than is comfortable (for me) for holding the firearm. That lower grip makes recoil less controllable. While the grip is well made, it just doesn't work for my hands. Try this one, on an actual gun, at a gun show or store before you buy it.

I bought these to get a better grip on my 44 with full house loads. Yes, it gave me better control over the factory. The downside: During recoil, the grip flexes away from the backstrap when it pushes against your palm, getting the skin caught between them. This causes nice little cuts on your palm after about a dozen shots. I will only use it again when I wear gloves.

Purchased one of these for 5 1/2" Redhawk. Took about ten minutes to take the old service style grips off and install the monogrip. A small amount of flashing covered the screw hole but was easily removed with a flat bladed screwdriver. Tightening the screw too much results in the gaping and pinching reported by some users. Just loosen off the screw a bit! A rubber or plastic mallet comes in handy when installing. At the range it transformed the hand eating grip into being quite comfortable. This gun is now definitely a keeper since the installation of this excellent product from Hogue.

I purchased this product to replace the stock wooden grips on my 44 mag "standard" Redhawk. The configuration and installation procedure is a little unorthodox, but the instructions are concise. The only thing preventing me from giving this product five stars is a small, uniform gap between the grip and the backstrap. Screw tension did not affect the severity of the gap as another reviewer had noted. However, the grip fits very well for a $20 grip and I did not experience any pinching as some others have noted. At the range, the grip transforms the standard Redhawk into an excellent hunting handgun. The difference in controllability and accuracy is dramatic. This is an excellent grip for a working handgun. It's not the most attractive grip, but for $20, the patterns I print at 100 yards are all the "pretty" I need.

I hate to give these a three, but these grips cover the serial number on the butt of my .45 Colt Stainless Redhawk. For some reason the Pachmayr fits my hand better on this Redhawk. I have had excellent luck with the monogrip on my S & W 625 and Blackhawks. Check if these will cover your SN, it is a federal crime to cover the serial number. I assume later models have the number elsewhere.

The fit on my 454 casull was quite poor. It is considerable harder and narrower than the factory grip. This resulting in pain to the web of my palm every single shot. I would not recommend this grip unless you have very small hands. After 4 diffent grips, the best one for big hands is the factory grip.
