My equipment: Rem 700 SPS ...

My equipment: Rem 700 SPS Tactical .308 sitting in a HS Precision LTR stock. Dropped in without any modifications needed. Magazine fits snuggly, no rattle noted at all, easy to release. Bolt strips rounds from the magazine smoothly. I am very pleased overall. Time will tell re: durability, but my first impression is a good one.

Upon installing this ...

Upon installing this DetMag on my Remington SPS Tactical with Bell and Carlson Medalist stock, the trigger guard assembly dropped right in, but I had severe fitment issues in regard to pillar height. This needed to be shimmed (shims not provided) in order to allow the bolt to close. Personally, it did not inspire confidence to have to stack washers between the floorplate and the pillar in order for the part to work with my rifle. The magazine follower is binding badly with both snap caps and live ammo. If I press down on the follower 1/4in on the front or back it will bind and I have noticed that while the mag is loaded and I'm cycling the action, the follower binds up and fails to feed on the 4th round almost every time. I give this 3 stars because it seems well built and the manufacturer was very helpful but I can't give it a better review because of the extra steps one has to go through to get it to function. Also, I purchased this to help take care of some failure to feed issues I was having and thus far, the DetMag has made things worse. The pillar height issues are mentioned by the manufacturer and apparently not many people have any issue at all with this but being as I did, I figured I would share my experience to make people aware of what you might be getting into.

Quality of this product is amazing. It dropped right in my 700 aac-tacticle-sd bell & Carlson stock without having to use the provided spaceres. Functions beautifully, the may release tension is adjustable and the mag is very sturdy. The mag release button is in location where only the shooter can hit it. All it takes is pushing your trigger finger forward. Way better than having to inlet my stock as with other more costly brands. Will be ordering more five round mags.

Although it was a drop-in fit using the shims supplied, the magazine is not a good design. It is not easy to reload and the rounds do not feed smoothly into the barrel. I would definitely not recommend this assembly to anyone and as such I promptly returned it.

Absolutely zero issues with the install/feeding. With the new bottom system that Wyatt is using these things are pretty much guaranteed to work in an H-S or B&C stock with absolutely no modifications. The empty mags do not rattle in the new design and the fit is super clean, it pretty much looks factory. For the money, this is the best DBM in the world, period!!!

Great product for the price. Installed it on a Remington 700 LTR mated with a BlackHawk Axiom stock. Needed to Dremel the trigger guard opening on the Axiom polymer stock a little larger in order to fit the thicker trigger guard of this assembly because the original trigger guard of the Rem is slimmer.. but all in all it fits nice and snug. Magazine is built well too.

Great price.......Magazine rattles bad with failure to feed stoppages periodically. I will probably have to shim the mags on the front strap. Magazine will not freely rattle with rounds loaded and the bolt locked into place, however it will still be loose. Fit into my 700P perfectly, no gunsmithing required.

Love it, worth every penny! Needed very little fitting on my 700 SPS tactical with the rubberized (Hogue) stock. Turned my picky-feeding rifle into a very reliable and quick to reload machine. HIGHLY recommended.

I installed this on my Rem 700 SPS tactical with a Houge stock. I had to shim the front and file a small amount of the stock to allow a proper fit. Had some trouble with the rounds properly loading. Had a gun smith open the mag a little and seemed to have fixed the problem. Mags fit snugly with no rattle. Mags have sharp edges unlike AI but for the price difference they work great. Overall this is a very well built and put together. I would recomend this product to anyone looking to make thier rifle eisier and faster to reload.

Installed this magazine system in a Rem M700 Target Tactical with a Bell & Carlson stock. Took a few minutes to fit, with a shim and a couple of hundredth's off the rear stock screw. Perfect functioning since--ran 400+ rounds of .308 in a 3-day Thunder Ranch trip--no failures to feed or extract. Magazines pop in and drop out--no rattles. I intend to buy more magazines and love this rifle forever.

Very solid bottom metal. This magazine assembly is a nice addition to any remington 700 that screams "tactical" but if you're hunting its a bit overkill, and honestly I'd rather put more money into other things on a rifle than the feeding system. The magazines are well built and the assembly has slid right in to my 700 (but I did need to relieve some of he plastic on the stock). The only problem I have with it is that it rattles oh so slightly and if you have a 308 based cartridge (that ISN'T 308) it is difficult to load the magazines (mine's in 243 WIN). All in all a great product and you really can't beat the price. Wyatt has done a good job with this one.

I own a Rem700 XCR (tactical long range model), with B&C stock. The Wyatts unit dropped right in, no fitment issues at all. It cycles very smooth out of the Wyatts mags (I bought two 5 rounders), but I did notice the mags likes a little break in, as they fed a little "stiff" at first. The Wyatts unit is very well built\great quality. I'm glad I bought it!
