The new XPS series of sights from EOTech are the shortest sights from EOTech to date which leaves you with more rail space than other EOTech sights. This smaller sight runs on a single CR123A battery which provides a life of up to 600 hours. Having a shorter sight allows for more room to mount detachable iron sights for backup, or to mount any other accessories you might want. EOTech XPS sights feature an integral mount for use on Picatinny or Weaver-style rails.

For the short to medium ...

For the short to medium ranges that I use my Springfield Armory M1A Scout for, this sight is perfect. Able to pick up targets quickly and reliably. This EOtech is a solid fit to the M1A Scout's low recoil and quick shot recovery.

Ok, did you expect a bad ...

Ok, did you expect a bad review on an Eotech? You get what you pay for and I'm so glad I didn't waste $100 or more on a cheap knock off. This thing mounts easy and solid, and zeroed exceptionally easy. You don't have to "chase" your bullet strikes around like some lesser scopes during sight in. Each click moves the impact exactly 1/2", and only in the direction you tell it to. I love the auto shutdown feature too. If you turn it on by pushing the left button it shuts off in 4 hours. Push the right to turn it on and it shuts off in 8. Pair that up with the 600 hour battery life, and dead batteries aren't as frequent of an issue. If you want a super fast CQB sight, check this one out. You won't be disappointed.

I was a little leery ...

I was a little leery about getting an exspensive sight but I'm glad I did. Lightweight, retains zero when mounting/remounting, and fast. Shot one ragged 5 round hole at 60 yards in my m&p 15. Would buy it again

I was impressed as soon as I picked it up out of the box, it appeared to be quality built and rugged. It mounted easily, zeroed quickly, and performed better than I ever would have imagined. I can see why law enforcement and the military use them. Quick target acquisition and accuracy that is impressive.
