Good flashlight

I bought 2 of these a while back, and am impressed. I work in a powerplant, they supply some LED flaslights, while those are very intense light, they don't make much light. These Streamlights make a lot of very white light. they light up an area like a much larger flashlight. Battery life seems good. In fact, I'm going to order 2 more now. Pete

Junk from the word "go". Lasted less than a year. Streamlight REFUSES to answer warranty questions. I will NOT purchase another Streamlight product.

I used one of these flashlights as a Coxswain in the USCG. Four years later, the light keeps working remarkably. It has been fully submerged in saltwater repeatedly, dropped, thrown around on deck, and used on several search and rescue (SAR) cases. This is the best flashlight for the money, period.

I work as an Ammonia Refrigeration tech. My company banned metal flashlights last year as part of their Arc-Flash program. These lights are great. It has been dropped,kicked, thrown, submerged in water and oil, it keeps going. Bright and long lasting. Worth every penny. Not mentioned in the description is it is rated for use in an explosive enviroment.

This flashlight packs a lot of punch in a small package. The 4 AA cells are housed in a 2-by-2 side-by-side arrangement which allows for a flat handle rather than round. This isn't immediately apparent from the illustration, but was a pleasant surprise. An added benefit of this feature is that it isn't as likely to roll off a flat surface. The light output rivals full-size D-cell filament bulb flashlights, and is mostly pure, bright white without the bluish or purplish cast of a lot of LED flashlights. I've used mine for several hours of traffic control and have yet to replace the first set of batteries. Awesome!

The handle is flat and ...

The handle is flat and fits nicely in the back pocket. The flat shape prevents the flashlight from rolling off a table. The lamp module sticks out of the pocket ready to go. The button is on the back as it should be. The circle of LED's gives off an excellent spread of light in total darkness situations. I cannot tell how long the AA's run. I must have over 20 hours of run time so for with the original cells with no loss of voltage. There is a small hole for a lanyard that is very useful. I would not use it in tactical situations like a xenon Streamlight but with the instant on feature of LED's it could be used for tactical surprise. I plan on suspending it between two tall palm trees with mono fishing line for Halloween.
