I have several scopes in ...

I have several scopes in this power range. This one is one of the better scopes I have. Objective glass is free from shingle or dimple effect, erector lenses are clear and don't distort images. I would have liked a bit more light on high power, but, it's still O.K. I use this scope on a Leupold QR ring/base system. It's one of two scopes on my 7MM Savage 110. It's never been more than a half inch out of center at 100 yards, whether I removed it/ swapped it for the other scope or whatever. Good medium to long range scope. If you need to use it for short range or moving targets you don't want this one.. It's too slow to adjust it quickly.. If you have time and patience to set up a longer shot, this may be your scope...

I bought this scope for my AR. I "upgraded" to this scope from a Tasco 6-24x Varminter. With the BSA Platinum scope the image gets fuzzy above 20x and the eye relief is very unforgiving above 25x. The lens picks up a lot of haze and glare without the sun shades, which is a problem since the threads on the 3" sunshade broke off the first time it was used. The turret knobs loosened up the first time at the range and almost fell off, had to Locktite the set screws to keep them from coming loose again. At 225 yards above 24x you cannot distinguish bullet holes in paper targets. With my old Tasco, at 225 yard at 24x details are clear and eye relief is good.

I bought one of the mil-dot BSA's for an older Savage Mk II, and loved it. After a year of bench rest use it is perfect.Bought a second identical scope last month, and it was junk. The elevation and windage knobs were so tight out of the box that I could not turn them without fear of breaking something. Returned it to Midway, and got a replacement. The knobs on the replacement were almost as bad, and the adjustable eyepiece was stripped. I'll keep using the older one I already have, but sorry - no more new BSA scopes for me. I will add that the staff at Midway have been VERY helpful and apologetic throughout this process. They have quickly handled my returns, and have kept me updated with timely emails. I'll definitely keep shopping with them.

I had one of these scopes on a ruger m77vt 22/250 and out to 300 yards was an easy shot. Never had to rezero it ever. I would recommend this scope to anyone

I just mounted this scope on my 700 VTR in 223. I love it! It was a little dark on 32 power, allthough it did start snowing right after sighting it in! I had touching groups at 100 yards so it performs as well as my rifle! This scope won't hold back your rifle's performance.

To start, it comes with a limited lifetime warranty.I am using it on a .30 cal rifle (VEPR K, 7.62x39) at 100 yd, bench shooting.At higher power (20x-32x) the exit pupil is too small (about 1.3-2mm) and thus you will get a fuzzy sight picture. Adjusting the objective lens can help correct this but I have been unable to see the paper target as crisply at 32x as I would with 8x-20x.So far it has withstood the recoil from my VEPR K/RPK after 200+ rounds. I was told the BSA Platinum is of Japanese origin and not a PROC product. I wouldn't doubt it as it feels much more refined than a cheap Tasco scope from the local sporting goods store.The metal screw-on covers can be a PITA, and there's some minor play in the turrets that does not appear to affect precision.FYI I had a Tasco Pronghorn 3-9x40 that vibrated to pieces (internally) after a 200+ round range session using the same rifle.

I have had one of these scopes for just over a year now. At low power visibility is good. But over 24X it gets very blurry. The scope doesnt hold zero very well either. Minor travel is a real problem. I'm going to try a Tasco 6x24 next.If you are putting this scope on a small cal. it will probably work fine. My HK91 didn't like it much though!

This scope is one of my favorite ones. I shoot a 300 win mag and at 300 yds, I can still see the group on paper. It can get a little hazy, but hey at that price it has been nothing but a consistent performer through 700-800 shots on a 300 mag.
