The Forster Deburring Tool is a double-ended multi-function tool that can be used by hand, by lathe or attached to the end of the optional Deburring Tool Base (item 492-986). The tool allows the reloader to quickly chamfer and remove burrs from the inside and outside of the case mouth of all calibers ranging from 17 caliber to 45 caliber.

The Forster deburring ...

The Forster deburring tool is an excellent product for a low-volume reloader like me. I'm reloading for mostly a .357 magnum revolver, and also for two rifle calibers. I shoot 300-500 round per month, mostly .357, and trim about 50 cases per month. I trim all the new brass I buy initially, and my spent cases are trimmed about every 6 reloads. The Forster deburring tool couldn't be easier to use, and it's obviously a well-made high-quality product. A couple of quick twists with one end of the double-ended tool on the outside of the case, and then with the other end of the tool on the inside of the case, is the quick and easy finishing touch on the case trimming process. If I was processing more than 3x the number of cases I currently use, I'd want the deburring tool mounted in the Forster hand-crank base for easier use. But at my level of use, the handheld product alone is more than adequate. At this rate of use I think it'll last a lifetime.

I have an old RCBS deburring tool for .22 and larger cases. When I started reloading the.17 Remington I purchased the Forster tool. It works OK - what's to go wrong with such a simple device - but I sure wish it had a pilot rod that fits inside the case mouth like the old RCBS tool. It would be much easier to use on small cases.

This seems to be a solid tool for low volume case chamfering and deburring. It works well. You may want to consider something different though, if you work with a large volume of cases.

Before I purchased this ...

Before I purchased this Forester deburring tool I had only used the lee version. The forester tool is 500% better than the lee. it quickly and easily touches up trimmed cases, I now spend 1/5 the time that I did with the lee tool. I have no experience with the RCBS or others and as far as I am concerned I will reorder the Forester tool if and or whenever this one wears out or I loose it, whichever happens first.

The Forster Deburring ...

The Forster Deburring Tool does a great job. I have one other deburring tool made from a different company and I find that the Forster's to be much better on the shell cases. It deburres them smother inside and on the outside. A nice finish to the shell cases. As for the tool it self I find that it is a well made quality tool at a reasonable price.

The product seems to be very well made and I have no complaints. It does exactly what "I" intended it to do. I had used one prior to ordering this one, that belong to a friend, so I did have some knowledge of this equipment before getting one myself. I enjoy your website, keep up the good work.

I knew forster makes top ...

I knew forster makes top shelf reloading tools and based on the reviews here and that my lee chamfer tool was a total piece of junk and did not remove any of the burr from trimming resized cases, just smashed it down, I bought this tool and found it to be exceptional. It comes razor sharp and you WILL take off to much brass if you use a power tool. One to two turns by hand gets the job done very well. Works extremely well for my .270, 30-06, and 8mm brass. Do not drop this tool on a hard surface as it has been hardened to the extreme and will chip. I like this tool better than the RCBS model. This tool is of such high quality that I also use it to clean up or even re-crown the barrels of my rifles when damaged as this tool is very similar to the crowning tool. It just doesn't have the pilot shaft. Have chamfered over 300 cases and crowned 4 barrels with it and it still works like new. Its only downside is if you slip or misalign the tool while outside chamfering u get 3 tiny stinging stab marks in your hand. Its ok you'll only do it once. My brother is constantly taking this tool from me so he can use it for his reloading stuff. Excellent tool, will definitely buy another if this one ever wears out.
