The Adams Arms 1-Piece Bolt Carrier is made out of high grade stainless steel and treated with a proprietary Meloniting process that gives it the same, if not better, hardness level and corrosion resistance of hard chrome. It has also been designed with "skis" on the back to eliminate any wear from carrier tilt on the extension tube.
