I did wonder about the ...

I did wonder about the durability of it when I took it out of the package, as it is metal on plastic, but the ratchet action does a great job scrubbing out the chamber of my M1A. It's hard to get a brush in there, but you screw the male end of a cleaning rod into the side of this and ratchet it around until you're satisfied. I push mine out from the muzzle end with a cleaning rod, as the spiral brush tends to screw it into the chamber pretty good. You can also ratchet it around while pushing out gently on it and get it out.

First time I used this in My M1A, the head separated from the ratchet. Had to use a rod down the bore to push it back out. Very poor attachment, just an aluminum pin pushed into plastic.
