Tried this latch on two uppers, DPMS and Bushmaster, and it works well in both. It makes it easy to operate the bolt assemble with any scope mounted, and you can easily cycle the bolt with the stock in your shoulder. I've gotten several parts from model 1 with no complaints.

I received my Model 1 Tactical charging handle today, and it will be sent back on Monday. It was bowed to the left, don't think it would fit in a raceway, and the finish was marred in a few places. It almost looks like I got a reject someone else sent back. Hopefully the next one I order will be much better!

Bought it two years ago for a build. I've run it for two years without problem. It's less expensive than the competition, and I can't tell that it does a single thing differently.

Used this charging handle on both my Bushmaster and DPMS flat tops after I mounted a scope on them and needed something with a bigger latch for more clearance. Works beautifully and looks great! Perfectly milled and super light! You will not be disappointed.

After reading some of the reviews I should have known better.. But I purchased it anyway. I had finally gotten my rifle built (with great help from Midway!) and had this handle and latch installed. Took it to the range today and ran it back one time. ONCE! The latch broke off right at the edge of the paddle, basically making it a standard handle, though with a much sharper latch release edge. I'll be returning it as soon as I can as I know Midway is great with their customer service.

The fit in my AR-15 was perfect, and love the extended latch. I did have the hook of the original latch break due to an air bubble that occured during the forming of the latch at the narrowest point (right at the flat catch portion of the latch), but Midway and their fantastic dedication to customer service sent a replacement latch and it works great. Way to go Midway.

I liked the look of this charging handle but it broke after just a few uses. I am not happy with the results at all. It was always stiff and didn't get worn in at all. I would not recommend buying this at all.

Great product. Prior to finding this, I much preferred the position and the size of charging handle on my brother's AK over the M4/M16. The standard charging handle sticks out less than 1 inch but this one gives you about 2 inches and a flat surface to grip. There is no comparison between the two. For about half the price of a Vltor or BCM gunfighter, you can't go wrong buying this.

I was not set up with the right tools to just change out the latch so I bought this assembly. It ROCKS! With the scope on, it is easy to reach and charge the rifle. I have run in about ten times and it seems to work flawlessly. Will just shelve my old charging handle until needed.

I've had the Model 1 Tac Latch assembly for over a year now and it's been decently operable. Recently however the metal on the charging handle near the latch pin hole had broken off, which ruined the handle and rendered the gun inoperable until I get a new one on there. The latch is still good but the handle is trash. That's what I get for buying cheaper stuff, but I admit I'm purposefully hard on my personal guns to make sure they stand up to the abuse, but this is just disappointing when the metal break off where it shouldn't be breaking off.
