Fit was good. ...

Fit was good. Sandblasting matched good with my Colt. Only thing was the MSH pin hole was not straight. It took a lot of work in that area. I thought Les Baer made good parts.

I purchased this MSH to ...

I purchased this MSH to replace my Springfield ILS locking MSH. When I received the Les Baer MSH I noticed it was very rough and needed to be polished just to slide into my frame. When I tried to insert the MSH pin it would not go into either hole. After closer inspection I found the hole was not straight. I ended up re-drilling the hole with my drill press just to make it work. I though Les Baer was known for great quality, I guess this one was made on a Monday or a Friday. I am very disappointed with Les Baer. They lost me as a customer.

Tight drop-in fit on my ...

Tight drop-in fit on my Dan Wesson. Fits snug under the grip safety as advertised. As a previous review stated, it has a bit of an unfinished stainless look, but it's mostly concealed by the frame once installed. The serrated look is more traditional looking, but has great grip. It really flows nicely with the other serrated parts on the pistol ie. magazine release, slide catch, thumb safety, and cocking serrations. It's a nice part, especially for the price.

The unit is a rough cast, probably intended to be finished by the user if they wanted a smoother finished piece. Appeared to fit my Kimber Stainless II, but did not go thru the with the installation because I did not like casting. I would recommend that Baer describe the finish and state that the user would have to sand and polish to fit cosmetics of most non-coated stainless pistols. Also, this is just the housing and not the spring or clips.
