One of the handiest items you will ever add to your complement of cleaning gear. You'll want one to keep dry and one to ditribute oil. Everybody needs one or two of these things!

I have been using this ...

I have been using this type of brush for 25 years to apply oil to the exposed metal on my guns. I simply spray a small amount of oil on the brush, brush it over all surfaces for 100% coverage, then wipe the excess off with a cotton rag. It also works great to clean under vent ribs on shotguns.

I've been using two of these on all of my guns for about a year. I wanted to wait to review the product. They have both held together without any problem. I can put a nice thin coating of oil on my guns. Good quality.

This may look like what ...

This may look like what your dad used to use to apply shaving cream, but I have found it an invaluable tool for gun maintenance.To date, I have found no better way to lubricate newly cleaned firearms. This brush works perfectly with Hoppes No.9, Break Free CLP,or even with weapons grade lubricating oil. Nothing gets into all the nooks and crannys like this brush. The only complaint I mayhave is that its awkward shape makes it hard to fit my cleaning kit. Hey, I wish they were all so hard to complain about.

I've found this brush to be the best thing for cleaning up the inevitable powder/grit spills around the reloading bench. It gets into the nooks & crannies that you can't reach with a paper towel.

This is a great tool for ...

This is a great tool for getting oil under rear sights or like the other fellow said, under the rib of a shotgun. It is also great for getting between the barrel and mag tube on lever actions. I could go on and on, but am sure you can find the other out of the way spots to use it to protect your valuable firearms. It is also a perfect gift for your gun buddies. Just remember to put something under it so that if you put too much oil on it, it doesn't drip on your mat or cleaning stand. I find that if you put in a snack size baggie it will stay clean and not get oil on everything when you put it away. I used the old shaving brushes before I found this product. I feel it is a must if you are going to put your firearm in a safe for storage. You can even keep a dry one to brush off your weapon after a day hunting in a dusty area such as South Africa or south Texas.
