I put this on a Sig P238. Just remove safety and hammer to get to hammer spring. Make sure to put detent from old spring on bottom of new hammer spring. If you remove the main spring housing (not required step) make sure to line up sear, extractor, sear spring and main spring properly when reinstalling. This made the trigger noticeably lighter. These guns come with about an 8 lb trigger from the factory. This makes it much lighter. I will be testing some various ammo this week to ensure the hammer can still slam the firing pin home to engage any primer. The hammer still falls hard, so I don't foresee a problem there. I would recommend this and also the 12 lb recoil spring. Make sure to test with many rounds of your carry ammo so that you know it will reliably cycle and surely strike the primer of each round. The recoil springs in the P238 wear out so fast, I would use the 12 lb unless you are planning on carrying a very light load; which is not recommended in 380.And remember that safety is first. If you are not confident in how to do any mod/repair to your firearm, then please do it under the supervision/instruction of an experienced professional, or have it serviced by one.

Works great in the Sig P238 to reduce trigger pull, add a little polishing and sear spring adjusting for a really nice trigger jobAlso a plus for a very simple install: Remove slide, reset hammer, rotate saftey clockwise (keep hand over saftey so the pin and spring don't go flying), remove saftey, then remove hammer pin, pull up hammer with attached hammer strut, turn frame upside down and catch the spring and the move the detent over to the new spring and assemble in reverse
