Installed on a springfield loaded 1911-A1. The i.d. was undersized, so it could be tightly fitted to the barrel. The o.d. was undersized in my slide just enough to install/remove the bushing in the slide by hand without tools- something I prefer in a carry pistol (it is still a much tighter fit in the slide than the factory bushing). If you need the tightest fit bushing, get the one that isn't pre-fit- but you will also need to buy a melt bushing wrench. For the best look, note that you will likely need to file the outside of the flange to match the contours of your slide- mine was a hair wider than my slide, and the contours slightly off. If refinishing or temporarily cold bluing the edges is a problem, go with the stainless version.
