With the Caldwell Plink N' Swing Swinging Target Twin-Spinner, you can see and hear the impact of your bullets. The swingers and frame are made of durable high-carbon steel to provide endless shooting fun. There are no welds in the swinger to break when impacted. Use only lead-nosed bullets and always wear eye and ear protection. This target is designed for use with the 45 ACP and 44 Special only. Use of other calibers may result in damage to the target and will void any warranty.

500 Magnum proof! I know ...

500 Magnum proof! I know the instructions say to shoot these with .45 or less, but they have handle repeated shots from my 500 Magnum. I have 5 of these targets so I wanted to see what my 500 would do to one (I thought it might punch a hole in it) and all it did was put a dent in it. These things are great!!

Bought this great target when it was on sale, for the price its fantastic. Very simple to use, sturdy, and easily restored using your choice of paint color. I have hit this with .22, .380, .38, 9mm, .357sig, .40, and .45...all calibers work wonderfully. Love the instant feedback the steel provides, and surprisingly it stays put while installed in Louisiana dirt.

My only complant is how ...

My only complant is how short it is, but you can fix for a few bucks. I love it i got mine up about 3 ft to the top target. i shoot 357 jhp and it doesnt do any damage to it. The paint comes off with first shot but it is great to hear it sound off.

I bought 1/2" conduit and ...

I bought 1/2" conduit and cut to 18" in lengths, then drove the conduits in the ground a foot leaving 6" sticking up to stick the target in. Had trouble getting it to stay standing for multiple shots before doing this. Now I just drop the targets into the conduits shoot several boxes of ammo and then pull the target out until next time leaving the conduit in place. Have shot it with 40 cal. S&W, 165 gr and 180 gr Rainer Hollow points, and with 200 gr Hornady XTP and have had no problems with the target. Liked it so much I bought 2 more and now I can shoot at three different targets at different distances and get immediate feedback if I hit them. Makes shooting fun. I plan to buy more.

Great product! I shot this with my Kimber .45 and my Glock 21 (.45ACP). No dents at all. This thing is tough! Just push it down in the ground and your good to go.

Have had a couple of ...

Have had a couple of these for several years now, I drill two 1/2" holes in a 6"x6" post laid on the ground and stick them in, paint both sides bright red and after one side gets dark, spin the post 180 degrees and go at it again. Have hit these with larger caliber rounds (357/44 mag etc.) and found some minor bending but when swung around and hit from the other side they straighten out! Accidently hit one with a 454 Casull and it did some serious bending and knocked it out of my 6x6 but stuck it back in the holes and it worked fine.

I have had three of these ...

I have had three of these in use for more than six months. Over that time they have been thrown into the bed of my pickup truck a dozen times for trips to the range, and my friends and I have shot more than 1000 rounds at them. The heavy steel handles all of the popular pistol rounds with no problems. I have even used the targets with my tactical shotgun and #6 shot, although this is not recommended. I saw a bad review for these for someone that used AR ammo. The targets are not rated for this and its a bad idea to use high powered rifle ammo with a target not rated for it. Use these for your pistol practice, and you'll get years of life out of them.

A solid swinger. It works well and swings very aggressively compared to others because of the over/under design. It seems durable enough for its intended use (.22s and most handguns). (of course, if you were to try something like...shooting it with an AR-15--which the product description says not to do--it very well may break)

Targets are great. ...

Targets are great. Pounded them with 9mm, 40 S&W, and 45 ACP all day and there is not even a ding in the steel! Purchased and used 4 of them, will buy more! Mounted them in aluminum conduit to get them up to ~42" high. Even with the extended height, the spin and wobble is minimal.
