I ordered this to touch up a slight line worn through the anodize on my Bersa Thunder 9 UC Pro pistol in the slide groove on the body. I cleaned it thoroughly with Birchwood Casey Gun Scrubber and easily applied it to the affected area. After letting it dry for seven hours it looked great, and I couldn't tell it was touched up. I then used a cotton swab to lightly oil the area with BreakFree CLP, and that's when the job went south. The stuff came off as easily as if I had used watercolors. It didn't say how long to let it dry, but it seemed OK. Maybe it was just the CLP, but that's what I use so this just doesn't hack it for me. I guess if it was on something you never cleaned or lubricated it would be acceptable, but I maintain my guns.

It's well worth the small investment. I use it to touch up areas on AR's that get blemished during parts replacement. It does well on the aluminum, and surprisingly well on the steel parts too. I've had one in my garage for a long time without it drying out.

I bought this to touch up some pin-sized nicks in the frame of my Beretta 92FS where the bright aluminum was showing through. I cleaned the areas with alcohol and then carefully applied the paint by dabbing a toothpick into the touch up pen. It was almost a perfect match after the paint dried. It was hard to tell where the nicks used to be after the touch up job. The paint dries extremely fast. I found that if you lightly rub your finger over the painted area not long after it has dried, it helps the paint to blend into the surrounding finish even better.I was impressed with the end result and would recommend this 100% for touching up your flat black gun.

I used this to cover a scratch on one firearm and re-blue/darken the worn finish on the rear sight of another. It does a fair job, looks better than before in small areas. It dries very black and flat as advertised. Fairly fast drying type of enamel paint I think. Note: it will come right off if a strong gun cleaner/degreaser is used on the area treated.

This product is great for touching up AR's. It is a perfect color match for mil-spec uppers and lowers, such as the DPMS lower and Bushmaster upper I used it on to fill in assembly scratches. I also used it to fill in the engraving for an SBR. It is durable, matches the color, is cheap, and a tube lasts a long time without drying out. What more could one ask for?

It works great in spots that do not get rubbed or touched a lot. It goes on very easily on to areas that have small scratches. Don't glob or you will notice the difference in finish. So far I've used it to touch up silver worn spots on rails, a scratch on some roll pins, etc. It matches relatively well with black matte, but it's mostly true only on small areas.
