Rifle case lube jobber.

I bought this because I had an old Lyman case lube pad in a steel tin that evdentually became very discolored because it rusted. I have been reloading for a lot of years and Redding makes some of he best products on the market for "rolling your own" - literaly. The case is plastic so it will not rust and the pad applies an even yet light coat of lube to the case. This is especially important with bottle-necked cases so you don't get a shoulder dent from too much lube on the case.

Large pad works well and ...

Large pad works well and even has small rubber "feet" to help prevent slipping on a hard surface. The lube is kinda thick and the hole in the dropper is too small. You will need forearms like Popeye - just to get 1 drop to come out. The top of the dropper will come off if you push it sideways (push firmly and be careful not to spill it). You can then drill the hole out with a small bit, or you can just pour some out of the bottle onto the pad and push the dropper top back onto the bottle. Try not to put too much lube on the cases - it may cause creasing when sizing. Also, I like the Redding water based lube much better as it washes off easily and doesn't feel like clear axle grease.

The set is great, but the oil works better in a very warm place. top is hard to get off as it suctions to the bottom.
