Product Information

The Tubb Final Finish Bore Polishing Ammunition is comprised of a series of polishing compound impregnated bullets. Shooting several rounds of ammunition through with enhance accuracy by eliminating the imperfections inside the bore. Also makes the barrel much easier to clean. Bullet weights are approximate and will vary with compound. Each box contains 10 rounds of two different compounds.

Copper fouling in my AR ...

Copper fouling in my AR was a real problem, as was cleaning. Running a patch down the bore was more than hard to do. Accuracy was acceptable, 1 to 1.25 moa. After the Final Finish ammo, cleaning is very easy and the copper fouling is next to nothing. Accuracy has improved as well, now at .75 moa with three loads I have tried.

This product really ...

This product really works!!! It does what it says it does with no phoney baloney. Follow the instructions and you will have a great barrel in the end. With my 20" NATO 1x7 twist barrel I had seen a 70% improvement with cleaning and accuracy with much tighter groupings. Of course this will vary with every user but so far all the folks I talked with that used this product had very similar results. This will save you money rather then sending it out to a gunsmith who will charge a lot more for the same results. Final Finish along with the TMC will make for a great barrel that we all want in a firearm. Please try it out you will be very happy that you did!. Tubbs doesn't put out garbage.

Had problems with bullet ...

Had problems with bullet groupings with a new 223 AR 15 upper. Visited gunsmith and we borescoped barrel. We both agreed worst new barrel every seen. Barrel must been at the end of a run using a worn out bit. Both the lands and the grooves had perpendicular lines to the lands and groves the complete length of the barrel. I shot, following directions, all 20 bullets in five shot groupings, cleaning the barrel using KG products (if you have tried KG barrel cleaning products you should). Returned to gunsmith to view the barrel with borescope. Found that close to 90 to 95% of the groves on the lands had smoothed out. We were both astonished. What would be nice is for someone to develop a cost effective borescope for the common man. I should have taken pictures before and after because it was amazing to see the difference. If you don't have a smooth barrel you should try the Tubbs bullets.

I broke in my 223 ...

I broke in my 223 Remington 700 a month ago with handloads and finally got a 1.5" 5 shot group after trying 12 different loads. Today I used Final Finish and after was able to get the 5 shot group down to .75" Four of the shots were .5" For the cost I'd recommend trying this before going out and having a custom barrel installed.

Used in two Savage model ...

Used in two Savage model 12 bolt varminters. Accuracy improved by about .2 MOA when comparing 2 sets (5 groups) each of 5 shot groups in each rifle. Fewer fliers. The big difference: Clean-up became much easier--no color on nylon brush and 4-6 cotton patches after 20-30 shots using #9 and Kroil. Barrels take less effort to put a patch through. One of these rifles has over 2500 rounds through and still averages .5 MOA. Some shells look poorly set-inconsistently crimped. May not be right for auto loaders.

I used this for a new ...

I used this for a new Bushmaster Varminter AR, with great results. After each phase, the barrel got progressively easier to clean and ended up being smooth and shiny. The gun shoots sub-moa, so I'm a happy camper.

They were used in a new ...

They were used in a new unfired Oly K8. I wish that I had fired a previous group to compare because it is now shooting 5 shot one hole groups. It's fun to see those kind of targets. As noted before they are too long to fit into a magazine and have to be single loaded. The point of impact was all over the target and most keyholed. Bullet weight is not listed but I assume the lousy accuracy is caused by the abrasive. I'm so impressed that I will use them on any new or problem barrels from now on.
