Outstanding accuracy! ...

Outstanding accuracy! Loaded these up with 7828 in my .257 Weatherby. .75 inches @100 all day long with other powders as well. The bullet held together fairly well on a whitetail shot at 206 yards. I also shot 2 Muleys at close range....both deer were one shot kills, but the bullet had exploded (to be expected) being so close. If you do your part, the bullet will do it's! Great job Sierra!

I have used this bullet extensivly on Blacktail & Mule deer, in my 25-06 model 70, since 1974. I have it loaded at maximum with H4831. Shoots sub-MOA groups. Downside is that I have never recovered a single bullet intact from an animal. Destroys way too much meat, when used at the higher velocities.

I shoot this bullet in my Sendero 25-06 for long range deer and antelope. It is very accurate (less than 1/2 inch groups at 100 yds) at 3250 fps with IMR 4831. It flies true and hits hard out to 600 yards. The tip does not deform easily and it seems to be as accurate in flight as the polymer tips. The bullets seem more frangible than other similar bullets but are still quite deadly. I recently shot an antelope at 500 yards with complete confidence. It was a head on chest shot and the bullet hit perfectly and penetrated about three feet fragmenting completely after hitting the left hip socket (without breaking the bone). I shot another high in the spine at 100 yards and it left a six inch hole with no sign of the bullet. My brother's 100 yard antelope (25-06) had only the copper jacket remain with pepper-like lead dispersed from side to side on a standard broadside chest shot.

This is the go-to bullet for my Weatherby Mark V in .257 Weatherby Magnum. Using Reloader 25, I have taken several deer with it. All of them have gone down as though they were struck by lightning. Great performer, even at Weatherby velocities.

I worked all summer developing an accurate load for my Ruger 77 in .257 Roberts. Finally, this bullet behind IMR 4895 gave me a three shot group at 50 yards that I could cover with a dime. As I hunt the hills of West Virginia a long range shot is seldom the case. So a sight in of 50 yards is accurate to within less than a half inch at 100 yards. Shot a nice nine point from a tree stand at 40 yards in the boiler room, right behind the front leg. He bolted and crashed over a log within 25 yards and rolled over the edge of that flat down to the next flat. Bullet never exited. However, there was no spoiled meat whatsoever. Like this bullet. Will try it on chucks & 'yotes this summer. Thanks Sierra.

These bullets vary in OAL by eight thousandths. This makes my reloads COL vary by a full hundredth. Even after using lamp black to find a COL just clear of the lands, I have no confidence in maintaining this standard and my groups are varying from 1/2" to 1 1/4". Very fussy standards are followed for the rest of the reloading process.

I've used this bullet in my A-bolt .25-06 with IMR 4350. I have been exceptionally impressed with both the accuracy and performance of the bullet. 100 yard groups are one ragged hole, as someone else has written. Groundhogs and coyotes don't like them, but I've never used them on deer.

I've tried about 20 different loads in my new 25-06 hawkeye and it seems to like the 115 grain Ballistic tips the best until I tried this load. With the first starting load with this bullet, it gave me a 5 shot half inch group! I can't wait to play around with it some more and try it on game. Hope it holds up better than the 100 grain Ballistic Tip.

I used a 100gr GameKing in my 25-06 using IMR 4350, estimating M.V. of 3200 fps. I hit a 105 lb hanging weight blacktail in the boiler room at 70 yds while on a slow run. He humped-up a little but kept running. A second round stopped him cold. Entry wounds were standard, but the damage inside looked like a grenade hit. I lost the ribs and the upper loins. The benchrest accuracy of this load is under 1 MOA, so I'll look forward to using the GameKing load on 'yotes, but never again on table meat.

Review 10/19/2004: This bullet performs very well, I use it in a Savage 110 chambered in 250-3000 1 in 10 twist and load them up for a friend in his 25-06. I shot 5 deer last year with my 250-3000, 3 deer were shot at a little over 300 yards, they never took a step, bullet size hole going in, half dollar size coming out, they work wonderful, so much so I am only using my 250-3000 this year. Ground hogs love to eat them too! Almost forgot, if you shoot a deer close try to go for a neck shot, close the bullet will make hamburger of the meat at 2800 fps or faster. close = 0 to 100 yardsLike my last review I love these bullets. I bought a Browning A-Bolt in 25 WSSM (I love 25 cal also). The loads in 25 WSSM can be made hot because of the thick brass. As before I could not ask more of a bullet than one jagged hole at 100 yards, and this bullet does it out of my guns. Shot thru a Chrony I get 3340 fps and yes they blow up at close range, there is no magic bullet that does it all. Close go for a shot that won't ruin meat, far do as you will, they work.caution, I and others have found light or standard loads, loaded with Win brass will cause the neck and shoulder to split, this is due to a batch of brass that is to hard and they don't expand and gas leaks around the shoulder and causes a dangerous situation..watch your brass with 25 WSSM.120 gr with max loads is not as bad, but if you see splits do not shoot your ammo. Call Sierra's 800 tech line and talk to Rich, he knows of this problem.Other wise they kick butt in other rounds like my 250-3000 @ 3120 FPS
