This AAC Fixed Barrel Spacer enables the owner of a Ti-RANT 45 Silencer to use it on firearms with Non-Moving Barrels. Most modern pistol designs make use of a locking arrangement between the slide and barrel in which both move rearward upon firing for a short distance before separating and completing the extraction, ejection and reloading operations. In order for this delicately timed firing sequence to continue without inducing malfunctions, the weight of a Silencer at the end of a pistol's muzzle must be accounted for when one is installed. AAC's ASAP Piston System accomplishes this by effectively removing the weight of the silencer from the barrel, allowing it to move with the pistol's slide freely and unimpeded when fired.

Firearms with a Fixed Barrel design do not require the use of the ASAP System to function reliably with an attached sound suppressor, and could potentially even be damaged by it. Therefore, in order for an ASAP-Equipped Silencer to be safely used on a gun of this type, it is necessary to first replace the Drive Spring used in its ASAP Piston System with the proper Fixed Barrel Spacer. Each spacer is constructed of lightweight Hard Coat Anodized Aluminum and is suppressor and caliber specific.
