Product Information

The MGM Portable Rifle-Shotgun Maintenance Center was designed to aid in cleaning your rifle or shotgun at the range. The rubber overmolded padded forks hold your gun securely and can be stored in the base along with your cleaning supplies. Forks have two rifle cleaning rod slots and a larger slot for shotgun or muzzleloader rods. The large center section allows you to store your tools and cleaning supplies in one area.

WORTH EVERY PENNY!

I've been an amatuer gunsmith for over forty years. I've owned several gun vice's and other than a solid Oak one I bought in 1972, this is the best. I've worked on hundreds of rifles and pistols and mounted well over a hundred scopes. Whether I'm finishing a stock or drilling mounting holes this MTM Rifle/Pistol work base does the job! I have two, one on each work bench. They stand up to things I know they weren't designed for. They are as rugged as you'll need for any task and best of all is quite affordable! I do believe my MTM's will last me a lifetime.

I've had one for at least ...

I've had one for at least 5 years now and performed hundreds of cleanings on it as well as set a few scopes and other misc work. Nice, convenient unit. Holds most but not all long guns well. I wish the cradles had multiple mounting positions for shorter or longer firearms. Could also make the cradles so the flip over with different saddles. Only complaint is two of the rubber feet fell out over the years and so now it is a little slippery and slides around. Glue the feet in when you get it. Plastic holds up well to many strong solvents. Doesn't "lock in" guns to hold against tight bore mops but works on 90% of the long guns I've tried. I'd buy it again.

The picture does this gun vise no justice. I received the vise today. It is very well made for plastic. The cradles are thick and sturdy and the base is heavy.I cleaned a bolt action rifle today and the cradle did not move at all

This does make gun ...

This does make gun cleaning an absolute breeze. It accomodates anything from my shotguns to AR-15 to 22's to lever actions to deer rifles. It is a little cumbersome and I had to look for a unique place to store it, but it holds all my gun cleaning supplies like rags, wipes, brushes, snakes, solvents and cleaners. Even the fully assembled rods store nicely on the sides. One of my favorite uses is the ability to soak small parts, especially AR-15 parts after a weekend of shooting. The little plastic compartments are the perfect size for keeping filled with a soaking solution and soaking the bolt assembly when it is really really dirty.This is perfect just as a cleaning bench, but it's extra compartments, features, storage and uses are very handy.

I've owned this product for about ten years and have used it heavily. It has held up perfectly. It does show use because solvents have pock-marked the clear panels, but has not affected it functionally. The arms that hold long guns are sturdy, durable, and hold the firearm securely. If you happen to use MTM's gun box, this tray fits on top of it and is quite steady when so-mounted. This makes it handy for range use as well as use on your gun bench at home.

I was pleasantly surprised with this product. I was a little concerned about the durability of the "rests" pieces, but they seem solid and worked well. This is a better system that the "clip" type of rests I've used in the past.

Used one of these last weekend at my Father-in-law's. It's nothing fancy but holds a rifle well while you're cleaning it. I really liked the fact that the two points where it comes in contact with the rifle are further apart that most other solutions of this type. This works much better, and I plan on getting one. Also the slots on the side to hold cleaning rods great!

This product is very useful. I just refinished a M-N 91/30 and this unit was indispensable - it holds parts, and tools securely with sliding lids covering the compartments. Wish I had it long ago!

Used it for a month or so holds firmly, well padded looks like it will hold up, found it easy to store and much better than floping things arround on the bench....but it seems a little overpriced to me at least.
