B-Square handgun bases lock to the firearm using the ventilated rib or existing predrilled holes in the firearm. Rib mounts are full length for maximum eye relief adjustment. Require Weaver-Style rings (not included).

Cons: The KLN universal ...

Cons: The KLN universal mount would not fit my 19-3 (K), the recoil block stuck out leaving a 1/8 or so inch gap between it and the reciever. The instructions do mention a slot in the mount for the 3-56 screw to go through. Non-existant. The mount didn't fit my 57-6, again the recoil block. In this instance it was just pinned a shade too close to the reciever to get the 1st screw threaded. The 2nd screw for N frame mounting was not included in the kit. As a non-bonus I recieved two 10-24 x 1/4" set screws and complimentary wrench for them, not mentioned in the parts list or instructions. Just there. PROS:The mount was definitely finished in black matte exactly as advertised.I'll try giving b-square a call, if any good comes of it I'll post it.

I purchased this base for ...

I purchased this base for my SW 14 which is not drilled and tapped. The replacement post is too thick for fitting into the original iron sight post slot. Called B-square and was told the post has to be milled down to fit. After milling, the amount of material left was so thin it was apparent the only thing holding this scope base on was the 3/56 screw. I was too scared to shoot even my reduced target loads for fear of the scope flying off. I may try the Weigand mount after having the revolver drilled and tapped. Pretty expensive lesson, however, if it saves anyone else from problems then it was worth the experience.

I put this base on a ...

I put this base on a Smith and Wesson 29--44 mag after I contacted B-Square to make sure that it would handle the recoil. This gun is not drilled for a scope mount so you remove the rear sight and use those holes as per their directions. When I fired the 13th round, the tiny mounting screw broke and my scope flew off. Buy this mount at your own risk !!!

Mounted this on my 44 ...

Mounted this on my 44 magnum. Took it off and threw it away. Tiny screws hold it. I would be afraid that this thing would fly off on the first shot. It might work on a .22. I don't care to find out.

This was the only mount I ...

This was the only mount I found that was long enough to accommodate the Tasco PDP3 red dot sight. It was easy to install and so far is holding securely. I mounted it on a S&W M17 10 shot 22 revolver for steel plate shooting and small game. The combination is more accurate than I am. Safe Shooting

I used this in order to mount a red dot sight. The base is easy to install and allows you to temporarily change a sight without modifying the gun. So far it has worked flawlessly.

Works great, and looks ...

Works great, and looks good. I mounted it on my 686, I like the contrast from a black red dot scope and mount on a stainless revolver. I did have to get my gun drilled and tapped to put this mount on; I thought it used the existing holes. Apparently the newer 686's are drilled and tapped for a scope mount, just not mine.
