This thing is worthless. It may work for a 7 round mag, but not for an 8 round mag. Don't waste your money if you have an 8 round mag with base plates.

Works like a champ on the 7 or 8-round magazines for my Ruger KP345 and my Kimbers. Loads first thru last rounds without a hitch. I wouldn't want to have to do without it.

Product seems well made. However it does not work with Novak/Act-Mag 8 round magazines. I think I can cut out a little plastic and make it work but as it is, the magazine sits too high and with the lever released, the "plunger" won't allow bullets to slide back into the magazine.

When first seeing the product didn't think it would be strong enough to load 1911 mags but to my delight, it did. As other reviews mentioned, the HKS has a notch to hold standard 7 round mags in place. For higher capcity mags, like the Chip M. Pro 10 round, just know where the top feed should be in relation to the loader and place the mag's base on a flat surface. Clasp the loader and the mag firmly with your hand and your thumb can proceed to load to full capacity. Figured this out after 5 minutes and am now able to load 7, 8 and 10 round mags with no issues or modifications. Am hoping this loader will last. So far, am pleased its saving my thumbs. Midway's price is terrific!

Not bad, but could easily be improved. As others mention the loader does not do 8-round mags as there is a plastic stop on the lever which stops short. I cut it off and it works fine. My biggest complaint is the tab at the bottom which the bottom of the mag rests on; it's too short and the bottom of the mag pops off way too easy. Both of these issues could be easily fixed if they wanted to fix them.

Cuts loading time on Colt, Kimber, and Wilson Combat magazines in half or more and essentially eliminates the need to fight the spring to get a full load in. I have nothing but praise for this item.
